Chapter 584

Chapter 584

“Mr. Pendleton’s… really…”

Kevin didn’t think Chadwick was anything special. He relied on his wealthy father’s influence inCapitus. However, they didn’t dare to cross him due to his father’s power.

“Let’s start with the compatibility test,” Kevin agreed.

Esther was solely focused on Bradley, unaware when Kevin and Jasper left. She quietly watched him inhis fragile state, wishing he could regain his former confidence and strength.

It was heartbreaking for her to see him so weak, and tears streamed down her face, falling ontoBradley’s hand. It felt as if her tears were searing sparks onto his skin, causing his heart to flutter.

Because of Bradley’s illness, Esther couldn’t look after Felix either. She had to entrust him to Clark, who was considerate enough not to burden her.

Understanding the situation, Felix obediently went with Clark.

Doctors and nurses checked on Bradley multiple times, but he remained unconscious. The doctorexplained that Bradley experienced excruciating pain when awake, so they administered a mildsedative through his IV drip to alleviate it.

Kevin took Jasper for various tests, each thorough and meticulous, but the results were disappointing.

Jasper glanced at the report briefly, his smile tinged with self-deprecation. “I thought my liver wouldwork for Bradley. Although, honestly, I’d prefer it if he didn’t make it. The thought of Esther sufferingbecause of him makes me wish for his recovery.”

Hearing Jasper speak so sincerely, Kevin raised an eyebrow. “No matter what Bradley did in the past,Esther will only remember his good qualities now. Jasper, I’ve misunderstood you in many ways, butnow I see you’re a good person-”

Jasper interrupted Kevin’s words, teasing, “Let’s not become friends. I’m not into men.”

Kevin glared at Jasper, exclaiming in frustration, “I’m straight! Completely straight! Alright?”novelbin

Jasper suddenly laughed, and Kevin asked irritably, “What’s so funny?”

“Nothing,” Jasper said, changing the subject and looking at Kevin seriously. “If we can’t find a suitableliver, what do you think will happen to Bradley?”

Kevin became cautious. “Jasper, you’re not considering anything illegal, are you?”

“You don’t think I’m foolish enough to harm Bradley, do you?” Jasper’s icy expression sent a shiverdown Kevin’s spine. “A living person can never compete with a dead one. I won’t do something thatfoolish. Anyway, you can go do something else. I’ll grab some food for Esther.”

“Please get something for me too.”

Jasper waved his hand dismissively and walked toward the stairs, but a doctor in a white coat quietlyblocked his path…
