Chapter 562

Chapter 562

Esther rose and stared at the villa ahead, its gothic design casting a gloomy atmosphere. Her palehands brushed the wooden fence as she sighed deeply.

Just as Esther and Kevin were preparing to leave, the screeching of tires announced Chadwick’sarrival. He stepped out of the car, exuding an aura of danger that couldn’t be ignored.

Esther’s heart clenched involuntarily. “Chadwick…”

Chadwick ignored her and forcefully kicked open the wooden fence, as if entering a lawless town.

Esther exchanged a look with Kevin and, without a word, they followed him into the yard.

Chadwick burst open the front door with another kick.

Suppressing her mocking thoughts, Mandy softly called out, “Brother-”

Chadwick swiftly grabbed Mandy’s jaw, pushing her against a wall adorned with intricate designs.“Mandy, who allowed you to come back to the country?”novelbin

Tears welled up in Mandy’s eyes. She had researched the Pendleton family and knew that Chadwickwas cruel and heartless. However, witnessing his demeanor firsthand now, she realized how accuratethose descriptions were.

“Brother, I was summoned back to consider donating my liver to save-”

Seeing Chadwick mistreat Mandy and realizing her liver might save Bradley, Esther summonedunexpected courage. She rushed forward, positioning herself between them. “Chadwick, that’senough!”

Chadwick’s gaze fixed on Esther, his disbelief evident in his tone. “Esther, what brings you here?”

Esther attempted to free Mandy’s jaw from Chadwick’s grip and said, “I’m here to request her liver tosave Bradley.”

Darkness clouded Chadwick’s eyes as he released his hold and interrogated, “So, you came here toask her to donate her liver to save Bradley?”

“Brother, I haven’t agreed,” Mandy quickly clarified. “I have no intention of helping someone whoharmed you.”

“At least you have a shred of conscience,” Chadwick remarked, his words dripping with scorn.

Esther understood the situation. The key player in this scenario wasn’t Mandy, but Chadwick. Only withhis consent could she save Bradley.

“Chadwick, I’m begging you,” Esther pleaded.

Chadwick retorted, “You’re asking me to agree to have Mandy donate her liver to save Bradley?”

“Yes,” she replied softly. “Chadwick, please, you’re a kind-hearted man. Help us.”

With an air of condescension, Chadwick settled into a sofa. “Esther, I recall you mentioning that I’m aman who holds grudges.”

Seeing Esther humbling herself to save Bradley infuriated Kevin. “Esther, let’s go. Don’t beg themanymore, *he interjected.

As Kevin was about to pull Esther away, Chadwick’s eyes followed her with a smirk. “Come on, Mandy, meet your future sister-in-law, Esther,” he said

Mandy was at a loss for words. She had only been away for a brief visit to an overseas plastic surgeon.

How had Bradley’s wife, Esther, suddenly become Chadwick’s partner? And now she was expected toaddress her as sister-in-law?
