Chapter 483

Chapter 483

“Your Honor, I am Mr. Bradley Warner’s attorney, Jonathan Earl. We contend that the bond between thecouple isn’t broken, and they share a son. We oppose the divorce…”

When Tanya heard the opposing lawyer’s statement, her expression subtly changed. She couldn’tunderstand how the opposing lawyer could say something so ridiculous-claiming that the couple wasstill together.

No wonder people said lawyers could turn black into white and death into life. For the sake of theirclients’ interests, they would distort facts and spout nonsense, which was truly

laughable and pathetic.

“Your Honor, we disagree with the opposing lawyer’s opposing counsel.” Tanya stood up, coldlycountering Jonathan. “Our evidence shows that Mr. Warner contributed to my client’s five-yearsentence while she was pregnant. Throughout that period, Mr. Warner never visited my client. He eventook the children my client bore and left them at a social welfare institution, with their current locationundisclosed.”

As soon as Tanya finished speaking, Jonathan interjected, “Your Honor, we disagree with the otherside’s claim.

“At the time, my client wasn’t aware that he fathered Ms. Quill’s children. He thought they were a resultof her unfaithfulness. Due to his high social standing, he had no need to engage in such behavior.

“Additionally, my client generously donates resources to the social welfare institution annually, withregular visits from his assistant. This incident shouldn’t be grounds for their divorce.

“Your Honor, the evidence we’ve provided demonstrates that Ms. Quill endured severe depression dueto the loss of both her biological mother and adoptive father. Following the belief that a husband bearsthe responsibility for his wife, my client is committed to caring for Ms. Quill. He intends to fulfill the roleof a devoted husband and provide for her lifelong well- being.”

Upon hearing Jonathan, Tanya frowned and turned to Esther. “Ms. Quill, have you experienceddepression?” she asked.

Esther blinked with surprise. She hadn’t anticipated the opposing lawyer to so boldly exploit her pastdepression to oppose her divorce.

“I went through a tough childbirth. I couldn’t even see my children before they were declared stillborn. How could I not be depressed?”

Tanya clenched her fists, determination burning inside her. If she lost this case, she’d quit being alawyer!

“Your Honor, the opposing counsel claims my client and Mr. Warner are still close. I’ll prove theseclaims are just to win.”novelbin

Tanya held up a thick stack of evidence.

“This shows how Mr. Warner mistreated my client after her prison release. She thinks he has bipolardisorder.”

She motioned to a screen.

Bradley appeared on the screen, forcefully pulling Esther’s hair and dragging her out of a venue. In thecar’s dashcam footage, he pulled her out of the car with equal force. Bradley roughly pinned Estherdown on the table in the hospital’s operating room and injected her with sedatives.

As the videos played one by one, they deeply affected everyone in the courtroom. No one had everthought Bradley, who always seemed composed, could be so violent and cruel.

Bradley’s lawyers responded strongly.

“Your Honor, jurors, we accept the videos. But at the time, Mr. Warner and Ms. Quill’s son’s life was indanger. To get revenge for her prison time, Ms. Quill refused to donate her bone. marrow…”

Esther widened her eyes, glaring at Jonathan. She bit her lip hard.

“You’re talking nonsense!”

Jonathan said flatly, “Your Honor, we want to show new evidence.”

“Granted.”

Bradley’s team played an audio recording of Esther and Liliane.

In it, Esther assumed Felix was Liliane’s son and demanded Liliane kneel before saving Felix…Hearing the voices, Esther panicked. She recognized it!
