Chapter 340

Chapter 340

“Mommy, it hurts,” Felix whined sweetly.

At that moment, Esther realized she was tightly gripping Felix’s hand. She also deeply. understood thefear and unease that Bradley had brought upon her.

“I’m sorry. Mommy didn’t mean to.” As Esther quickly contemplated how to confront Bradley, thehousekeeper approached them.

“Ms. Quill, Mr. Quill is here.”novelbin

‘Mr. Quill?’ Esther was confused. It took her a moment to realize that it was Oliver Quill, as Jasper hadmentioned.

“I’m going back now.”

A helicopter landed on the island’s helipad, and Oliver, poised and graceful, stepped off. He was nolonger young, belonging to the middle-aged category. With his age came countless ups and downs, and the glory of his youth had faded away. He was no longer sharp-edged or filled. with triumph andego. He stood like a quiet tree as if all the storms in the world were simply experiences in his life.

Oliver looked at Esther, who was walking toward him from a distance. Her features bore noresemblance to his memories of Faye.

“Mr. Quill,” she called out.

Oliver handed her a photo of him with Faye. “Esther, hello. I’m Faye’s younger brother, Oliver Quill.”

“Hello.”

When Esther saw Oliver, all her uneasiness vanished instantly for some reason.

“I’m Esther Quill.”

Oliver glanced at Felix, who was holding Esther’s hand, and took out a lollipop to offer him.” Hello,Felix. I’m your granduncle.”

“Nice to meet you, Granduncle, I’m Felix Warner,” Felix replied adorably. “Thank you for the lollipop, butI am not a little kid and don’t like sweets.”

Oliver chuckled and said gently, “Then what do you like?”

“I like studying,” Felix answered.

Even the experienced Oliver was taken aback by Felix’s response. None of the children in the Quillfamily had shown an interest in studying.

“Tell me, Felix, why do you like studying?” Oliver asked.

Felix stood tall, replying confidently and seriously, “By studying hard now, I can earn a lot of moneywhen I grow up to buy beautiful dresses, bags, jewelry, and a house for Mommy!”

“That’s amazing, Felix.”

The connection between people mattered. Oliver felt a strong bond with the mother and son standingbefore him.

“For now, play with the housekeeper. Your Mommy and I have something to discuss.”

Felix looked up, seeking Esther’s approval, and upon seeing her nod, he walked over to thehousekeeper and extended his hand. “Ma’am, let’s go play!”

After Felix left, Esther and Oliver sat on chairs in the garden. The servants served exquisite snacks andtea before quietly leaving.

With a hint of unease, Esther glanced at the photo and asked, “Mr. Quill, are you truly my mother’srelative?”

“Yes.” Oliver assessed Esther and smiled. “You don’t have to be so formal. You can call me UncleOliver.”

“In that case, Uncle Oliver, do we need to do a DNA test?” Esther asked.
