Chapter 247

“Madam!”

“Madam!”

“Madam, watch out!”novelbin

The female bodyguards rushed to Esther’s aid as she stumbled due to her weakened condition. ButBradley’s quick reflexes allowed him to swiftly pull Esther back into his arms before they couldintervene.

Esther was running a high fever. Even through their clothes, Bradley could feel the scorching heatemanating from her body, enveloping him entirely.

Gently, he carried Esther in his arms, her weight barely noticeable, and placed her on the bed. One ofthe courageous female bodyguards, concerned about Esther’s worsening condition, spoke up. “Mr.Warner, a high fever can be dangerous. I suggest”

“Leave us!” Bradley snapped angrily.

Another bodyguard quickly pulled her companion away.

Bradley looked at Esther, who was barely conscious, and reached for his phone to call Kevin.

“Kevin Slade, where are you?”

Kevin had just landed when Bradley’s call came through. Unaware of Felix’s situation, he jokinglyresponded, “Mr. Warner, do you have surveillance tracking me!?”

“Come to the manor immediately.”

Sensing the urgency in Bradley’s voice, Kevin inquired with concern, “What’s going on? Is Felix unwell? That shouldn’t be the case. His surgery was successful, and his attending physician said he’srecovering excellently-”

“Stop the chit-chat and get here!” Bradley abruptly ended the call.

Seeing Esther suffering from such a high fever, he swiftly removed her damp clothes and replacedthem with a long-sleeved nightgown. Skillfully, he retrieved a cooling patch from the medical kit andapplied it to Esther’s forehead.

After completing these actions, Bradley took a shower, changed into fresh clothes, and

entered the bedroom, his wet hair shaking slightly.

Esther’s phone continued buzzing on the bedside table. He coldly glanced at the caller ID on thescreen and forcefully turned it off, furrowing his brows.

As soon as Esther’s phone was silenced, Bradley’s phone began to ring.

“Bradley, I heard that Esther and Felix were kidnapped? How are they now?” Jasper’s

concerned and worried voice came through the receiver.

“Jasper, it’s none of your business to worry about someone else’s wife and child.”

Jasper was momentarily taken aback but remained composed. He casually replied, “If Mr. Warner saysso, then I can rest assured. I was just concerned about Esther and Felix-”

Bradley hung up the phone coldly, not needing Jasper’s feigned concern.

Half an hour later, Kevin hurriedly arrived at the Warner residence.

He learned about the situation during his journey, including Bradley’s public refusal to get married,Esther’s kidnapping, and Felix’s disappearance.

Kevin could hardly believe how much had unfolded in Bradley’s life in just one day. He also understoodthat Bradley continued to stand strong because he dared not fall and couldn’t afford to.

“Bradley?”

Bradley looked at Kevin indifferently and said in a cold tone, “Take a look at her.
