Chapter 182

Shane should have dug Esther’s heart and transplanted it to his daughter straightaway back whenEsther was in the prison hospital giving birth.

‘It is fine. We can take it slow.’

Shane would eventually get Esther’s heart for his daughter.novelbin

The news of Wilson performing live heart extractions quickly spread throughout the hospital, causingpanic among some patients who feared they might have been subjected to unethical practices duringtheir hospital stay. Requests for discharge flooded in as patients sought to escape any potential harm.

The hospital administration was deeply troubled by the scandal, as it had severely damaged theirreputation and would undoubtedly lead to numerous inquiries from concerned patients. The entirehospital was enveloped in an atmosphere of unease and uncertainty.

The hospital administration desperately hoped that Bradley would not pursue the matter further, andthey were willing to comply with any demands he had.

Meanwhile, Bradley was currently at the detention center, where the undeniable evidence of Wilson’scrimes awaited him.

During the interrogation, Wilson did not attempt to deny his actions and readily confessed to theatrocities he had committed.

Bradley entered the detention center’s visiting room and sat, his eyes fixed on the handcuffed Wilson.

“Dr. Birch, who gave you the audacity to repeatedly target my wife for her heart?” Bradley questioned, his tone filled with a mix of anger and disbelief.

Wilson defiantly raised his head and met Bradley’s gaze with a mocking smile. “She’s not your wife. She’s a murderer.”

Without hesitation, Bradley forcefully kicked Wilson’s shin, momentarily silencing the doctor with asharp surge of pain.

“The law has not declared her a murderer, so how dare you make such accusations?” Bradleydemanded, his expression darkening.

Despite the agony coursing through his body, Wilson stubbornly retorted with a flushed face, “Mr.Warner, didn’t you yourself claim she was a murderer? Didn’t you personally ensure her imprisonment?Isn’t that right? Why are you pretending to be a caring husband now?”

Even in the face of intense pain, Wilson remained defiant and haughty, continuing his tirade. Mr.Warner, you should know that even if I committed a crime, it would only be attempted murder at most. The law cannot keep me imprisoned for long, and my wife will not abandon

me…”

Wilson remained oblivious to the gravity of his situation. He persisted in his arrogance, boldly declaring,“Mr. Warner, unless you keep Esther by your side at all times, her heart will

eventually be mine!”

Deep down, Wilson knew he couldn’t present himself as a love-stricken man. He needed to portrayhimself as a man consumed by his academic pursuits. This way, Leah and Liliane would be innocentvictims if he were to face the consequences one day.

He refused to let the woman he loved face society’s condemnation and insults. Since Leah’s husbandwas already a failure, he would wholeheartedly sacrifice himself and become her protector.

A chilling and terrifying hint of killing intent flickered in Bradley’s cold gaze. He raised an eyebrowcalmly, his lips slightly parted as he coolly remarked, “Your wife and son will become targets for publicoutrage.”

Infuriated, Wilson slammed the table and shouted recklessly, “You wouldn’t dare! Leave my family outof this!”

“When you sought to take my wife’s heart, did you ever consider them?” Bradley questioned. “Whenyou falsified Liliane’s medical records, did you ever think about them?

“Open your eyes and witness what I will subject your wife, son, parents, and siblings to… Bradley roseslowly, his icy gaze firmly fixed on Wilson’s disbelieving expression. “This is the price you pay for layinga hand on my wife!”
