Chapter 178

“Yes.” Scott’s guard was down when Wilson suddenly grabbed a nearby flower vase and ruthlesslysmashed it on the back of his head.

Holding his bleeding head, Scott reached out to grab Wilson’s hand, his eyes filled with disbelief as hegradually lost consciousness.

“You won’t die. I was careful with my strike, but I’m going to perform the surgery,” Wilson declared.

After settling Scott on the sofa, Wilson took a seat on his office chair, picked up his phone, and beganarranging for the surgery.

He examined the heart data of Esther and Liliane. Despite not being a perfect match, their compatibilitywas 87%, making a heart transplant still possible, though with potential complications.

Wilson anticipated progress in the clinical research of his artificial heart within six months. By then, hewould be able to replace the damaged heart that belonged to Liliane in Esther’s chest with an artificialheart.

“It’s me. Prepare the operating room. Surgery will start immediately,” Wilson instructed over the phone.

Looking at Scott, who had lost a significant amount of blood and was slipping into unconsciousness,Wilson felt guilt wash over him.

“Liliane isn’t my daughter.

“I couldn’t bear to see Leah suffer in sadness.

“And… I won’t be killing anyone.”

He wasn’t taking a life-he was saving one.

His plan was to temporarily extend Liliane’s life using Esther’s heart until his artificial heart was ready.

As for Esther, she was a deserving criminal who deserved to die.

Taking a deep breath, Wilson opened the door to the room and briskly walked out of his office, makinghis way directly to the operating room.

Scott struggled to keep himself conscious, biting his tongue fiercely before picking up his phone and.dialing Bradley’s number. Trembling, he urgently informed him, “Mr. Warner, hurry! He’s taking her tothe operating room. Mrs. Warner’s heart will be lost if we’re too late…”

As Scott uttered those words, he succumbed to unconsciousness.

Bradley was already aware of Esther’s accident, thanks to his bodyguards. His face betrayed his angeras he instructed his men to bring Wilson’s wife and child while simultaneously pressuring the hospitalthrough a phone call.

Upon learning of Wilson’s actions, the hospital director swiftly responded, rushing to the operating roomwithout delay.

With preparations for the surgery complete, Wilson cautiously entered the operating room, knowing therisk it posed to his own career.

To his surprise, the operating room was empty. The anesthetist, assistants, and nurses were nowhereto be found.

Confusion enveloped Wilson as the operating room doors were forcefully pushed open, and Bradleyentered with a group of people accompanied by department heads.

“You…”

Startled, Wilson dropped the surgical knife he was holding, the sound of it hitting the floor echoingthrough the room.novelbin

Bradley’s gaze fixed on Esther lying on the operating table. The anger that had consumed him finallyfound an outlet. He grabbed the collar of Wilson’s clothes and ruthlessly struck him in the face with hisiron-like fist.

A tooth, stained with blood, flew out, splattering on the floor. “Who gave you the audacity? How dareyou touch my woman!?”
