Chapter 172

Liliane dialed Bradley’s number, and he answered.

“Brad, what are you doing?” Liliane asked.

Bradley glanced at Esther in the psychologist’s office and casually replied, “Anything important?”novelbin

“Why can’t I reach Felix on his smartwatch?” Liliane’s conversations with Bradley always revolvedaround Felix. It seemed that besides Felix, they had no other topics. “Is he mad at me?”

Bradley cleared his throat and coldly replied, “No, Felix is at kindergarten.”

Liliane was shocked and questioned in astonishment, “Why is Felix at kindergarten? Why didn’t you tellme?”

A sense of control slipping away began to emerge within Liliane.

No! She couldn’t stay in the hospital any longer.

Impatience tinged Bradley’s distant tone as he coldly asked, “Felix is growing up. Why can’t he go tokindergarten?”

Liliane felt her previous tone was inappropriate and quickly rectified, “That’s not what I meant. I’m justworried about his health. What if he catches an illness at kindergarten?”

“You don’t need to worry about Felix. Take care of your own health…”

Xara opened the door and said, “Mr. Warner, Mrs. Warner has awakened.”

Upon hearing “Mrs. Warner” from the other end of the line and thinking of Bradley being with thatwoman, Esther, Liliane was infuriated. She threw her phone against the wall, causing it to shatter intopieces.

Her already fragile heart became even weaker, unable to bear such a burden.

Liliane’s vision went black, and she collapsed onto the hospital bed.

“Doctor! Ms. Anstey fainted!”

Bradley ended the call with Liliane in a cold manner before entering the room with an elegant stride.”

Esther was seated on the couch, gently sipping honey lemon tea from a mug. Like a serene sea, themildly sweet beverage brought a sense of calmness.

“Esther,” Bradley called out.

Esther’s starry eyes shifted to Bradley’s handsome face.

An inexplicable nervousness enveloped Bradley, his entire body tense.

“Mr. Warner, please have a seat.” Xara gestured for Bradley to join them.

Bradley naturally sat beside Esther, reaching out his broad palm to hold her small hand firmly.

Esther slowly withdrew her hand, but Bradley refused to let go. He tightly grasped her hand.

“Darling, let’s get a divorce,” Esther uttered.

Bradley’s eyes filled with anger upon hearing Esther’s words. He stared at her with a cold gaze, askingthrough his gritted teeth, “Esther, repeat what you just said!”

As tears streamed down Esther’s bright eyes and fell onto the back of Bradley’s hand, they feltscorching and painful, like fire burning at the core of his heart.

“What more do you want from me? Tell me! My father knelt before me, begging me to leave you forLiliane! Divorce seems to be the only solution I can think of.”
