Chapter 478 Why Did You Help Me Out of My Predicament?

“Rosalie, it looks like the children like you very much.”

Leon sat down opposite her with a dinner plate, and Xander was with him.

Rosalie smiled at Xander, then turned to respond to Leon’s jeer. “I have more experience with childrenthan you, and I specially prepared candy just in case. Fortunately, I did. They came in handy. II

If it were not for the candies, the children probably would not even cooperate so easily even if they likedher.

After she said that, Xander, who was beside her, suddenly agreed. ” It’s a good solution. We can learnthat for our free clinics in the future.”

Rosalie could not help but be stunned for a moment. She then pursed her lips and smiled. “I’ve raisedchildren myself, so I have some experience.”

Xander did not think much about it. He was just very concerned about her tolerance when she wasdiagnosing and treating the children. “There are still many children waiting to be diagnosed and treatedin the afternoon. Dr. Jacobs, you should be feeling a little tired. Do you want to rest for a while?”

Rosalie’s countenance was stern, she shook her head without hesitation. “I’m fine. I experienced greaterwork intensity when I was abroad. These children need me now. I can’t leave them.”

The reason why she came here today was just to gain the Lancer family’s favor. It would be great if shecould win a partnership with the Lancer family in one fell swoop.

However, seeing the sick children, Rosalie had no other thoughts. She only wanted to do her best totreat them.

Those children were still so young. They were about the same age as Lucian and Nox. Seeing them,Rosalie could not help but think about her two boys at home and her little girl who died early.

Compared to them, this work was nothing.

Hearing Rosalie’s words, surprise flashed through Xander’s eyes.

The way the man saw it, working non-stop in a free clinic without stopping for a single moment except toeat was enough to suffocate someone. However, this woman said that she had experienced even moreintense work. Just how busy did she make herself?

Xander turned to glance at Leon out of curiosity.

Leon nodded noncommittally. “There’s no doubt about it. The person in front of you can be regarded asan eager beaver.”

Rosalie pursed her lips and smiled but did not refute him.

The three of them were conversing when suddenly, someone sat down beside them.

Rosalie subconsciously turned to glance at the person, only to see Lucius sitting down a little stifflybeside her.

Seeing the person who arrived, Rosalie thought about how Lucius had targeted her just now. when shetook in his current

look at them one after another. They just wished they could stand beside them with their dinner platesand watch.

“Dr. Rand, is there something wrong?” Leon spoke first as if protecting Rosalie.

Lucius sensed his alertness and raised his brow in confusion. He looked at Rosalie directly and askedsternly, “why did you help me out of my predicament just now?”novelbin

Rosalie did not react for a while.

“I was so against you. Why did you still help me persuade those children?” Lucius asked.

Hearing this, Rosalie then reacted, she smiled, not having taken things quite to heart. “Because I believethat you must still have the most basic of medical ethics to have such a position within the domesticholistic medical field. Although you were against me, I also believe your emotions are only directedtoward me personally. As for the children, you probably want to help them get rid of their disease’storment as much as possible.”
