Chapter 448 Never An Embarrassment
As they chatted, the car was already at the entrance of the restaurant.
Leon parked the car. The two entered the restaurant together and sat by the window.
Leon had already made an appointment early in the morning. Not long after they sat down, the disheswere ready.
The two talked about the Lancer family’s free clinic as they ate.
“The news of the Lancer family’s free clinic was only spread to certain parties. How did you find out?”Leon asked.
Rosalie had nothing to hide. “I had no idea as I was already planning to go abroad. Then two days ago,I went to Old Master Quirke’s house to thank him. The old master suddenly mentioned this to me, so Idecided to stay in the country for a while more.”
Leon frowned slightly. “Go abroad?”
Rosalie smiled noncommittally. “Well, you saw how the institute was targeted by the Lawrence familybecause of me. If I stay in the country, it might affect the research institute. Hence, it’s better for me tojust go abroad. I can’t afford to offend Lawrence Corporation, but I can always hide from them.”
Leon sighed silently and felt injustice for Rosalie.
“But now that I know about the Lancer family’s free clinic, even if Mrs. Lawrence wants to drive meaway, I won’t leave.” Rosalie smiled casually.
Leon looked at her helplessly, only to see that the woman’s face was full of anticipation for the freeclinic. He did not mention Melody again as that would ruin the occasion.
“I called you out today because of this,” Leon said warmly. “The Lancer family’s free clinic has alwayscooperated with doctors in society. I wonder if you’re interested? If you’re interested, you can contactSenior Lewis. If he recommends you to the Lancer family, you’ll definitely get a spot to participate. TheMartin family was offered a spot as well, so we can participate together.’’
Rosalie’s eyes brightened. “You’ll be participating as well? ”
She was worried that she would feel awkward and restrained when the time came, but if Leon was withher, this problem would no longer exist.
Leon raised his brows slightly, “As well? You’ve already confirmed your participation?”
Rosalie nodded with a smile. “Old Master Quirke spoke to me about the Lancer family’s free clinic, andhe also said that he would recommend me to the
Lancer family. I’ve been preparing for the free clinic for the past few days. I’m afraid that something willgo wrong and I’ll be an embarrassment to Old Master Quirke and my professor.”
“At your level, as long as you perform normally, you’ll never be an embarrassment,” Leon said firmly.
Rosalie smiled modestly in response.
Leon added, “That’s great too. since you have old Master Quirke’s recommendation, there’s no need totrouble Senior Lewis. Although I’d say that Senior Lewis already has a spot prepared for you.”
A look of confusion crossed Rosalie’s eyes.
“Senior Lewis hasn’t accepted apprentices for many years. He’s always admired you after meeting youthe last time, when he learned about the Lancer family’s free clinic, you were the first person hethought of. Senior Lewis requested for me to come back and ask about your plan. As long as youwanted to, he would personally recommend you to the Lancer family,” Leon explained with a deepsmile.
Rosalie felt flattered and quickly said, “I appreciate Senior Lewis’ kindness. If I have a chance to meethim again, I’ll thank him again. Please tell Senior Lewis that I’ll perform well in this free clinic event andwon’t let him down.”
Leon responded with a deep smile.
