Chapter 394

Chapter 394 Treat The Child So Ruthlessly

Rosalie felt distressed for a moment hearing him talk about Estie’s condition, but she could not show itin front of Byron.

Just when she wanted to pretend that she did not care, Andrius suddenly shifted the topic to her. “Dr.Jacobs, I remember Estelle seemed to like you very much when you came to treat my grandfatherbefore. I wonder if Estelle will get better if she were to interact with you a bit more?”

After saying that, he sighed casually. “It was the first time I saw Estelle take such a liking to someoneelse. I was shocked at the time.”

Rosalie gripped her cutleries tightly, not knowing how to tell him that she was the reason why Estellehad become like this.

To the side, Byron just went along with it as he looked at her with a heavy gaze.

In the past, the woman would always compromise as long as he mentioned Estie in front of her.

This time, however, the woman had obviously hardened her heart.novelbin

There was silence at the dining table for a moment. Rosalie could clearly feel both their gazes falling onher. It was as if they were forcing her to say something.

She also did not know when this meal turned into what it was now.

After a long while, Rosalie forcibly adjusted her emotions. She raised her gaze calmly and said toAndrius, “I’m also very worried about Estelle’s situation, but I don’t think I have that much influence. Ifwe’re talking about company, I think Miss Fuller would be more suitable since they’ll become motherand daughter in the future.”

Andrius could not help but be stunned when she said that.

He subconsciously wanted to refute and say that even if Wendy wanted to be Estelle’s stepmother,Rosalie was Estelle’s mother!

He suddenly remembered after a moment that Rosalie did not know about this.

Thinking of this, Andrius was a little dumbfounded. He did not know how to respond and looked at theperson beside him awkwardly.

Byron heard the woman’s answer, and his gaze darkened. He sarcastically replied, “Miss Jacobs isright. Estelle has nothing to do with her. what reason would there be for Miss Jacobs to help to takecare of Estelle?”

Hearing this, Rosalie’s expression stiffened for a moment, but she did not refute it in the end.

Seeing her practically tacit attitude, there was a thin layer of anger in Byron’s eyes.

Sensing that the atmosphere between the two of them was becoming more and more rigid, Andrius feltguilty for a moment. He regretted bringing up this topic.

He originally thought that since Rosalie was Estie’s biological mother, her heart would soften to someextent when she heard about the little girl’s condition. She might even go see the child.

He forgot, however, that Rosalie did not even know about this.

Besides, she had even told the little girl herself that she was going abroad.

It was most probable that she was very clear about the little girl’s emotional instability having somethingto do with her.

He did not think that she would be so cruel to the child, however.

Thinking of this, Andrius looked at Rosalie with a bit of scrutiny in his eyes.

He really wondered if Rosalie would regret what she said today if she were to find out about this in thefuture.

After contemplating it, Andrius still recalled that he had to solve the mess he left behind and coughedtwice as if nothing had happened. “I was just mentioning it casually. I forgot that you have the researchinstitute to deal with during this time, so it’s likely you have your hands tied.”

Rosalie felt silent.

Andrius smiled awkwardly and raised his glass to her. “Let’s not talk about this anymore. I wish you ahappy partnership with those medicinal material businesses in the future! I’ll contact you as soon aspossible when they confirm the time with me.”

Rosalie smiled reluctantly. “Thank you, Young Master Quirke, for being the middle man.”
