Chapter 248

Chapter 248 Our Research Directions Are Different

The second day after returning from North City, Rosalie devoted herself to work at the researchinstitute.

She went to North City for two days and had entrusted everything here to Yves, which had alsoexhausted him.

By the end of work in the evening, Rosalie and Yves walked out side by side.

Yves joked, “Dr. Jacobs, you left me and had two days off. Don’t you plan on thanking me properly?”

Hearing this, Rosalie faintly smiled. “Yes, I should. I happen to be free this evening. Let’s have dinnertogether.”

Yves had mentioned having dinner with Rosalie several times, but she refused every time. He alsoknew that she just regarded him as an ordinary colleague, so he no longer insisted.

Hearing Rosalie mention it of her own accord now, he also understood that she was just expressing hergratitude for these past two days. Hence, he took advantage of the situation and agreed. “Then, Ihumbly accept.” The two drove separately. After Rosalie got into the car, she texted Lisa, asking her topick up the boys in the evening before driving ahead of Yves to lead the way.

She could not think of a good place for a moment, so she simply went to the restaurant where she andLeon had dined before. Rosalie reached the restaurant’s entrance. She parked her car and waited forYves to arrive before they entered the restaurant one after another. They had to wait for quite a bitbefore they could dine since they did not make a reservation in advance

“I heard that Senior Lewis intended to take you as his student at the conference, but you refused,” Yvesfound a topic to chat about while waiting for dinner.

Rosalie smiled. “It’s enough for me to have Teacher, and my research direction is different from that ofSenior Lewis, so I’m also a little reluctant.”

The two were talking about the conference when Rosalie’s mobile phone vibrated. Fishing out herphone, she noted that it was a message from the kindergarten parent group. Miss Leigh Ann hadadded her into the group ever since the boys started school, it was just that this message group wasusually quiet, so she wondered what news there was today

She lappud in for a look, only to see the message Miss Leigh Ann had sent (Dear parents, the schoolwill be boldiny, a publie welfare stivity event to plant reps in the near future. We’ll be bringing thechildren out to experieplanung Berdings, and this event includes an overnight stay Everyone, pleasetake note You can talk to me in private if you have any special circunstances )

What followed were the replies from several parents. The replies were nothing more than them askingabout the location and time of departure as well as what they needed to bring

Miss Leigh Ann answered the questions one by one.

Their departure was scheduled for this weekend, and the school would be responsible for arranging theaccommodation. Each child was to be accompanied by a parent. They only needed to bring some dailynecessities and a change of clothes.

Accompanied by a parent…

When Rosalie thought of Estie, she figured Estie would be accompanied by either Byron or Wendy.

She did not want to see either of them.

She would inevitably encounter them if she wanted to take part in this activity, however.

The parents of this kindergarten were all rich and wealthy. They were no strangers to those Iwo. Somemight have even attended Old Master Quirke’s birthday banquet.

If she were to get into the slightest trouble with them when the time came, she wondered how the newswould spread.

Thinking of this, Rosalie could not help but feel her head ache.

Yves, who was opposite her, had asked a question related to the conference. However, when he didnot receive an answer after a long time, he glanced at her with concern. He saw the person oppositebim looking at her mobile phone, seemingly a little distracted.

“What’s the matter?” Yves stopped and asked, novelbin

Rosalie slowly returned to her senses. Forcing down the worries in her heart, she smiled and shook herhead. “II’s nothing, just the children’s kindergarten activities.” Yves noted that she did not want to talkabout it anymore, so he asked no further questions.
