Chapter 2023

Andrius and Mary knew nothing about Byron punishing Dorian.

It was now late afternoon. Andrius was driving from the Northwest back to Coast City.

To be precise, they had just left the outskirts. The scenery was beautiful, and Andrius drove slowly sothat they could enjoy the view.

“Andrius, where did you get the car? Isn’t it the hotel manager’s car?” Camelia was happy to see herdaughter and Andrius in a lovely relationship.

Andrius shook his head and explained, ‘The group specially equipped it for the hotel to welcome VIPguests. So, I took it on short notice. I will ask the people from logistics to return the car when we returnto Coast City!”

“Oh, it’s great. This car can definitely make Shaylene envious. It must be expensive!” Camelia hadnever taken a ride in a Rolls-Royce.

Even when Dorian owned one once, she never sat in it. It was because she knew it was Shaylene’s.

“Mom, this car is expensive. Some even cost a few million. It’s not a problem for Andrius to buy one. However, that’s unnecessary!” Mary said as she pondered how ignorant her mother was about theQuirkes’ wealth.

Andrius smiled and explained, “Aunt Wilson, I have cars like this at home, and some are even moreexpensive than this! I used them when I was younger, so I don’t drive them much anymore. If you likethese cars, I’ll have the driver in charge of driving you out drive them in the future!”novelbin

Those words pleased Camelia.

Mary looked at Andrius. He was indeed good at making her mother happy.

Andrius pulled over at the service area. He went to get some food and looked for hot drinks for themother and daughter. His action touched them.

When he got into the car, Camelia talked about their marriage and the requirements of the Quirkefamily.

“Mom, aren’t you worrying too much for now? I’ve only been dating Andrius for a few days. We haven’tdated for long enough yet!” Mary rolled her eyes and retorted.

Camelia glared at her daughter with a warning look. “Look at how old you are! You can enjoy datinghim after getting married. Moreover, Andrius is from a noble family. We have to consider if you’re asuitable wife for him.”

“Gosh, what kind of mother would say that about her daughter?” Mary pouted her lips and looked atAndrius as she questioned him coquettishly, “Andrius, why don’t you tell me if I’m suitable to be yourwife?”

Andrius chuckled and nodded hard. “Of course, you are!

Aunt Wilson, you don’t have to worry about that. We don’t have many rules and requirements in ourfamily. Everyone only hopes I get married soon.”

“Okay. Why don’t you arrange for me to meet your parents when we return?” Camelia was anxious.

She sounded like she was afraid her daughter could not get married.

“Alright! I’ll tell my parents and arrange a date for them to meet you, Aunt Wilson. My parents are easyto get along with!” Andrius answered seriously.

Mary did not retort upon hearing that.

Her heart was hammering.

Well… It was also not bad that her mother was urging them to get married soon.

She glanced cautiously and secretly at Andrius’ handsome profile, feeling blessed.

Andrius seemed to sense her gaze and looked at her dotingly.

“Oh, Aunt Wilson, why don’t we spend the night in that town? I heard the scenery there is beautiful. How about we book two hotel rooms?” Andrius asked.

Camelia nodded. “Perfect! Two rooms are just fine. You and Mary can have one, and I can sleep in oneon my own.”

Andrius immediately froze. He had intended to let Mary and Camelia share one room.

Unexpectedly, Camelia had something else in mind.

Mary’s face flushed red, and she protested, “Mom, what are you talking about? I’m sleeping with youtonight!”
