Chapter 804: Falling Apart

Chapter 804: Falling Apart

"Does Mr. Simpson need it right now?" John was somewhat surprised. He had been by Ayan's side for

several years, and most of the time, his work revolved around managing Ayan's frequent business

trips.

"Now, it needs to be fast," Ayan said with a grave expression.

"Alright, I understand." John immediately accessed the company's intranet to retrieve the necessary

information. Suddenly, he remembered something and quickly said to Ayan, "Mr. Simpson, Assistant

Fontirroig has submitted her resignation. Should I still send you her details?"

"Resignation?"

"Yes, we received her resignation application yesterday. Since she was an assistant in the secretary's

office, the HR department sent the news directly to me. I haven't had a chance to inform Kian. Do you

want her information?"novelbin

Ayan squinted his eyes slightly. He had a natural impression of Assistant Fontirroig, who worked in the

secretary's office. There were a total of eight assistants and secretaries, each with their own specific

responsibilities under Kian's management. Ayan wasn't particularly familiar with them due to their

extensive work arrangements.

However, Assistant Fontirroig left a deep impression on him because he had assigned her to assist

Camille for a few days. It was when the museum project had just begun, and he and Kian were on a

business trip to Dane City.

So, he had temporarily assigned Assistant Fontirroig to Camille, allowing her to handle any matters that

arose.

His face instantly turned cold, and he immediately instructed, "Contact her right away. Find any reason

to bring her to the company, but don't mention me. Don't let her suspect anything unusual."

John didn't understand Ayan's intentions, but he didn't dare to show any negligence. He immediately

followed Ayan's instructions.

Ayan also spoke to the driver, "Go to Simpson Group."

The reason he suddenly asked his secretary to investigate the personal information and work schedule

of the secretary's office was that, apart from Kian, the secretary's office personnel were the most aware

of his schedule.

Kian was not someone who would betray him, so the focus shifted to the secretaries.

As for John, he was Kian's junior and someone Ayan could trust. He could entrust him with this task.

While heading back to the company, John called again.

He had contacted Assistant Fontirroig, and she was on her way back to the company. He had lured her

back by claiming that she needed to sign some documents related to her resignation.

Ayan arrived at Simpson Group before Assistant Fontirroig, and John was waiting at the elevator doors.

As Ayan stepped out of the elevator, John quickly checked the time and reported, "Mr. Simpson,

Assistant Fontirroig should be here soon. Where do you want to meet her?"

"The conference room."

If they went to the office, she would become suspicious.

John nodded, and Ayan added, "Tell her not to bring her phone. Use the excuse that the agreement

content needs to be kept confidential."

John nodded again, but he didn't dare to be curious about what Ayan was planning.

After taking all the personal information from John, Ayan walked directly towards the conference room.

As for John, he had to stay at the elevator and wait for Assistant Fontirroig's arrival.

During this time, Ayan went through everyone's profiles, including those of Kian and John.

He quickly skimmed through the information and work schedules of the others because he had a

suspect now, and naturally, all his focus was on the suspect.

Assistant Fontirroig, whose name is Sandra Fontirroig, is not a local of Hance City. However, she

excelled in her previous university despite having an average family background. That's why she

worked harder than others, which is the only reason she has reached her current position.

Sandra serves as the assistant to Ayan, the president of the Simpson Group. This position would make

countless people envious if word got out.

But Sandra's resignation at this time is clearly illogical.

There is no suitable reason, and it becomes an inexplicable dead end.

There were no signs from Sandra before this, so her resignation came as a sudden surprise.

She was treated exceptionally well in the company, her work went smoothly, and she got along very

well with her colleagues. So why would she resign?

Sandra knocked on the door of the meeting room and saw that the person inside was not the head of

the HR department but Ayan.

She looked at Ayan with some surprise, and her expression instantly stiffened and became nervous.

In contrast to her confusion, Ayan remained calm. He looked at her with a warm but distant gaze and

said in a disinterested tone, "Not coming in?"

Sandra quickly stepped inside, her nervousness still evident on her face. She asked in a low voice, "Mr.

Simpson, why is it you?"

"I heard you want to resign?" Ayan ignored her question and pushed the resignation letter in front of

her. With distinct fingers, he lightly tapped on it, while his deep gaze remained fixed on her.

Sandra nodded and said, "Yes, I want to resign."

"You were doing well. Why do you want to resign? Is it because of the company's welfare or the

workload?"

Ayan continued his indifferent inquiry, his expression always cold and distant.

Looking at the man in front of her, Sandra clenched her teeth and spoke with a slightly rigid voice, "Mr.

Simpson, it's not that. The company has been treating me well, and the compensation is good too. It's

just a personal reason, so I want to resign. I hope Mr. Simpson can understand."

"Well, you've been with the company for three years, right?"

"Yes."

Ayan lightly tapped on the desk, his expression inscrutable, and his falcon-like eyes fixed unwaveringly

on Sandra, making her feel increasingly uncertain.

Sandra stuttered, "Mr. Simpson, do you have anything else?"

"No."

"Then I'll go and handle the resignation procedures."

"Fine."

Ayan continued to gaze at her without averting his eyes. Once Sandra got permission, she didn't dare

to linger for another second. The pressure of being around Ayan was too great, and she also had

something hidden deep inside. Therefore, she just wanted to leave Ayan's sight as quickly as possible.

She stood up, walked to the door, opened it, and was about to leave when Ayan's voice rang out once

again. He coldly asked, "Assistant Fontirroig, did you disclose mine and Camille's itinerary and work

schedule to those who kidnapped her?"

Upon hearing Ayan's question, Sandra froze in place.

Her facial expression became vacant because she had her back turned to Ayan, and she couldn't see

his current expression. However, she sensed a range of emotions from his previous inquiry.

After a brief silence, Sandra immediately denied, her voice tense, "Mr. Simpson, what are you talking

about? I don't quite understand."

Ayan sneered, and his tone was no longer as indifferent as before but filled with coldness. "Sandra, you

only have this one chance. Whether or not you tell me the truth is your own choice. I don't care how the

people behind you made promises to you, but now you're in my hands. If I suspect you, do you think I

would let you leave just like that? If you leave Simpson Group, do you think you can still have another

job if we don't part on good terms? Can the people behind you really provide lifelong security?"

Ayan remained seated, showing no intention of getting up.

His expression was extremely gloomy, and he maintained a calm composure, making sure not to reveal

any signs of urgency or panic. If his suspicions were just at the beginning, now he was completely

convinced by Sandra's reaction.

After his words, Sandra anxiously denied and explained, "Mr. Simpson, I really don't know what you're

talking about. It's just because of personal issues. Although I know that leaving Simpson Group means

I won't find a better job, I feel a lot of pressure. I want to find a job that is more relaxed and free from

intense competition. I don't have many ambitions, so I want to lead a simpler life."

"Do you think I would believe these words? Since I could say such things angrily, it means I have

enough evidence in my hands. Do you think the people behind you can bribe me? Do I have no one? "

Sandra clenched her fists, seemingly hesitating about something.

Ayan squinted his eyes, his expression chilling to the extreme, and his tone gradually grew heavier.

"Since you're unwilling to say, then I will have to call the police."

"Mr. Simpson, I haven't done anything. Even if the police come, I will say the same thing."

"Is that so? If I report the leakage of Simpson Group's trade secrets as the reason, do you think the

police will act accordingly?"

Ayan smirked, and a coldness pervaded the air.
