Chapter 628 Jealousy

Chapter 628 Jealousy

Eileen faintly froze and asked softly, "Ayan, is that what you came here specifically to ask?"

Ayan did not make a sound, stared at her indifferently, as if reminding her not to do nor say anything

useless.

Eileen pursed her lips slightly as she said, "No."

Ayan looked at her, with complicated emotions in his eyes, his handsome face expressionless.

He said indifferently: "Eileen, you should know that since I came here to ask you, I must know that he is

already in Hance City. I don't care what the relationship between you is and what purpose you have. All

I'm asking is, has he been in touch with you? Or has he already been to the hospital and visited you?"

Ayan's every sentence carried a pressing question, making Eileen purse her lips for a long time without

a sound.

The two stared at each other, and Eileen whispered, "Ayan, would you believe me if I said no and not at

all?"

Ayan's deep black eyes narrowed slightly and his words were indifferent: "Since this is the only answer

you have, it doesn't matter if I believe it or not, but I want to remind you that since he left you alone in

Hance City for so long before he showed up, he has other plans instead of your agreement and

cooperation. What is the relationship between you and Preston?"

"Ayan, I really don't understand what you're talking about, Preston and I know each other, but that's

only because I wanted to be with you and he wanted to steal Camille away from you so we worked

together, other than that we have no other relationship, so I don't know what you mean by cooperation

and purpose? "

Eileen averted her gaze not to look at Ayan, the expression on her face flickered with dodges, and the

evasion between her words was very clear.

Ayan just stared at her emotionlessly for a few moments before hooking his lips and snickering, "Then

just think I wasn't here today."

Ayan turned around and was ready to to leave, then Eileen immediately said: "Ayan, you just go like

this?"

His words were cold: "Do you think there is any need for us to talk anymore? From the time you had an

argument with Cora until now, if I hadn't stepped in, do you think you would still be here right now?"

Eileen was silent.

Because Austin was going to insist on prosecuting her, it was Ayan who bailed her out so thatet she g

off Austin and Cora's radar.

But she insisted, "Ayan, I know you mean well, and I appreciate it, but I really didn't do that, so I don't

know how I'm going to answer you."

"In that case, it is as if I have not come today and you didn't say these words. Just one thing that I have

to remind you, you know better than I what kind of people Preston is. Better be careful not to be used

by him, or in the end, it's only you who will be the pathetic one."

After Ayan finished speaking, he left the ward directly without staying any longer.

The reason why he had to say so much to Eileen, naturally, could not have been because he cared for

her, but only hoped that Eileen would be swayed to reveal some of the things with Preston, so that he

would not have to bother with other thoughts and time to arrange someone to investigate again.

Since he discovered that there might be some association and cooperation between Preston and

Eileen, he had actually made numerous assumptions, but in relation to the Simpson family, every

possibility was a possibility.

That was why Ayan had been indulging Eileen time and time again. If it wasn't for the Simpson family,

he would never give Preston and Eileen a second look from the very start.

From the hospital room, he led Camille away from the hospital and back to the car.

That's when Camille asked out, "Finished talking so soon?"

Ayan turned to stare at Camille, "Think I've been in there too long?"

Camille was stunned: "I didn't think so, didn't you say you had something to talk to her about? You're

done talking so soon?"

"Done talking." He said in a light voice, with a deep, inscrutable meaning always on his face, "Don't

want to ask what I came over to talk to Eileen about today?"

"You'll tell me what you want to tell me."

"How do you know if you don't ask?"

"I don't want to ask, and if you want to tell me, you don't even need me to ask."

She responded in the same tone, her eyes locked, with absolutely no intention of backing down.

Ayan reached out and gently cupped her chin, his voice low and muffled, "I didn't look for Eileen to

come see her, I just wanted to ask her about Preston."

Camille face was slightly stiff, under her eyes there also subconsciously slipped through a stiff, but

soon recovered as usual to maintain calm.

Ayan naturally also saw her reaction in the eyes, but he did not point it out.

She lowered her eyes and reached out to remove Ayan's hand from her chin, asking without much

emotion, "Why are you asking Eileen about Preston?"

"There's probably some cooperation between them, and it's not confirmed exactly what they're

cooperating on."

He leaned back in his seat, his gaze mildly fixed on Camille.

Camille asked, somewhat curiously, "What could they have to work with?"

"You're concerned?"

"Didn't you say that?"

Ayan hummed lightly and said faintly, "You don't care what I talk to Eileen about, but as soon as you

hear it has to do with Preston, you immediately become curious? Do you care more about Preston than

me?"

Camille was speechless.

She wrinkled her brow, her face as cold as ice as she said, "You're so unreasonable!"

"Won't even explain?"

"If that's what you want to think then that's it!" She said indifferently, completely leaving Ayan without a

sound, and the expression on her face followed by a cold one.

It turned quiet in the car.

He seemed unhappy with his cold face, and as for the words he had just said, because he was

jealous?

Camille sulked. She had explained before many times that she had nothing to do with Preston, and that

if she really had any feelings for him, she wouldn't have married him without a second thought.

But it was not the right time to talk about that either.

Both of them kept silent, so quiet that they could hear each other's breathing. Camille's eyes swept up

to see Ayan sitting in the driver's seat. His deep eyes staring at her unblinkingly. She blinked softly and

spoke lightly, "Aren't we leaving yet?"

Ayan did not speak, a handsome face full of unhappiness.

Camille felt a little helpless. It was funny to see him look so angry. She sighed silently, and said

indifferently, "Would you stop saying things like that? I'm concerned not because Preston has

something to do with it, but because Preston and Eileen work together and I'm surprised, although

you've mentioned it before, but they work together because... us?"

He was silent, letting her go on.

Camille sighed silently as she said, "So I'm curious about what collaboration is between them."

He remained silent.

Camille slightly narrowed her eyes, and the expression on her face was sour. She sat up straight and

twisted her head to look ahead, indifferently saying, "Okay, then you keep silent forever!"

Then she really did not speak, her clean and beautiful face revealed a cold indifference, no movement,

just sitting there motionless.

Her angry look made Ayan laugh helplessly, and he said in a low voice, "I'm not even angry yet, why

are you angry?"

Camille didn't say a word, pretending she hadn't heard him.

Ayan leaned down to her, his breath and body temperature instantly made Camille lean aside, but he

directly reached out to stop her shoulder, his voice was hoarse: "Answer me, I'm not even angry yet,

why are you angry? You won't even coax me, you have to let me coax you every time before you'll pay

attention to me?"novelbin
