Chapter 1500: Heartache

Chapter 1500: Heartache

Ayan's expression became slightly serious when he saw Camille's worries. He gently held her handthat was on his arm and spoke in a low, hoarse voice, "I want them to know that as long as I'm here, whatever you say is right. I support you no matter what you want to do. As for them, if they haveany objections, let them endure it."

Ayan was ruthless because he believed that Camille did nothing wrong.

As for the shareholders of Armstrong Corp, all they wanted was to take advantage of Camille'spotential entry into the company at this time. They wanted to rely on their longstanding presence inArmstrong Corp to receive a promise from Camille. Ultimately, they just wanted to rely on theSimpson Group.

Ayan could easily guess these thoughts, but since they didn't directly state them, he wouldn't gostraight to the point.

Let them have no place to vent their frustration and keep it bottled up inside.

Ayan successfully left Armstrong Corp with Camille, and this scene was captured by someone andposted online.

This further solidified the belief of netizens that Camille intended to push Horace and Grace out andcompletely take over Armstrong Corp. Some even suspected that Horace was arranged by Ayan.

Once someone starts to speculate, they will continue to imagine things until they brainwashthemselves completely.

Ayan didn't respond much to the online discussions. He seemed indifferent to such circumstances.

After returning home, Ayan and Camille could have dinner.

They were eating in the dining room when Sienna joined them.

Having seen the online incident, although Sienna knew that nothing would happen as long as Ayanwas there, she still worried about Camille and naturally hurried over to check on her.

But when she saw Camille eating peacefully with Ayan, she belatedly realized that she wasprobably unnecessary in worrying.

She walked over and sat next to Camille, sighing and shaking her head in response to Ayan'sdinner invitation. Then she rested her chin on her hand as she looked at Camille, shaking her headand making clicking sounds.

Camille remained silent and quietly ate her food until the last mouthful of rice entered her mouth.Only then did she put down her chopsticks, wiped the corners of her mouth with a tissue, andcalmly looked at Sienna.

She asked, "Is there something you want to say?"

Sienna leaned back in her chair, crossing her arms in front of her chest. She looked at Camille witha faint gaze and voiced her confusion, "Are you really not worried about what happened online?"

Camille didn't need to guess what Sienna wanted to ask. So as soon as Sienna finished asking,Camille immediately replied, "Why should I worry? Shouldn't the ones who need to worry be thosewho casually spread rumors online? After all, what they say isn't the truth. If I were a narrow-mindedperson, I might consider taking legal action against them."

Camille raised an eyebrow and then shifted her gaze to Ayan. She asked, "Will Mr. Simpson standby my side?"

Ayan smiled lightly, meeting her gaze with affectionate eyes. He spoke in a gentle voice, "Ofcourse."

Sienna shook her head and glared at Camille angrily, saying, "I shouldn't have worried about you.You really make people furious."

Camille smiled and took the initiative to hold Sienna's hand. She said, "Oh, don't be angry. Ofcourse, I know that you're worried about me!"

Camille poured a glass of water for Sienna and said in a gentle voice, "Don't be angry; drink somewater to calm down."

Sienna snorted coldly and refused to look at Camille.

Instead, she looked at Ayan and asked, "Mr. Simpson, how are you going to handle this?"

After all, things seemed quite complicated. Rex should have been the one to ask this question, butRex wasn't home yet. Sienna was too impatient to wait, so she had to ask herself.

Ayan raised an eyebrow, his voice warm but evasive, "Are you referring to the online public opinionor Armstrong Corp's attitude?"

Sienna carefully thought about it. Weren't these two the same thing?

So she asked this question.

But Ayan said, "In my opinion, they are two different matters. If you're asking how to handle theonline public opinion, then it naturally should be left to professionals. As for Armstrong Corp'sattitude, if this matter has nothing to do with the people in Armstrong Corp, I won't involve aninnocent company or person. But if it's related to Armstrong Corp, then it depends on how Mr. Burrishandles it."

Ayan had finished his meal as well. His words seemed a bit ambiguous, but this was his mostsincere thought.novelbin

Without disturbing Camille and Sienna's best friend time, Ayan finished speaking and left the diningroom.

Ayan went upstairs to his study. Although this matter wasn't significant and didn't require much ofhis attention or time, it still needed to be dealt with. So he decided to call Kian and quickly resolvethe situation.

Once Ayan left, Sienna released all her restrained emotions. She raised her hand, pinchingCamille's cheeks, and said, "I was so worried about you, afraid that you would get hurt."

Camille smiled and said, "I'm fine. This matter doesn't affect me. All they want is to tarnish me andAyan."

Sienna nodded her head lightly and said in a lowered voice, "Do you know who is behind all this?"

Camille pursed her lips. In truth, she was aware of many things. One thing led to another, and shecould guess the general idea.

She sighed silently, and her smile disappeared from her face. She looked into Sienna's eyes andsaid, "Yes, I have a rough idea of who it is, but I'm not entirely sure."

Their eyes met, and they could read each other's thoughts.

Sienna suggested, "Shall we say the name together?"

Camille blinked her eyes. That was exactly what she wanted to do.

After a few seconds of silence, they simultaneously said a name.

Camille: "Have you burrowed into my heart?"

Sienna: "Besides him, I honestly can't think of anyone else."

Camille took a deep breath, her voice low and hoarse: "Yeah, besides him, I don't know who elsecould hold on like this, time after time."

Camille didn't know how to express her inner emotions, nor could she describe the uneasiness inher heart. She continued, "Honestly, I really don't want to have any further involvement with him. Butwhat can I do? It seems like he just won't let go of me and Ayan!"

Camille's words were filled with helplessness and sadness.
