Chapter 1258: Competitive Spirit

Chapter 1258: Competitive Spirit

Mario narrowed his eyes, his expression heavy, and he readily accepted, saying, "Since Mr. Simpson

has said so, I will respectfully comply and do my best to lead this team."

"Good, then Mr. King, you'll have a challenging task ahead." Ayan spoke first.

Horace and Mr. Nores followed with their responses.

Mr. Nores thought that Ayan might want to secure the position of the main team and didn't want Nores

Group to become cannon fodder, so he voluntarily withdrew. But who would have known that Ayan

didn't have such intentions and Mario smoothly took advantage of the opportunity.

Mr. Nores felt somewhat dissatisfied. Even though King Group was large, this was still Hance City,

while King Group was based in Flento City. Moreover, this project belonged to his Nores Group. If Ayan

didn't want the position, it should have naturally fallen to him. How did it end up with Mario?

Mr. Nores had many grievances in his heart, but the situation had been settled, and it seemed that

saying anything now would be futile.

As for Horace, he naturally had no thoughts on the matter. He hadn't entertained the unrealistic idea

from the beginning. After all, Armstrong Corp only secured this project by relying on Simpson Group,

and Armstrong Corp's capabilities weren't sufficient to compete for this position. So he hadn't

considered it. As for Ayan, well, he probably had some basic guesses in his mind, but he wasn't sure if

they were correct.novelbin

After establishing the main responsible team, the next step was to select excellent personnel from their

respective companies to join the team. Simpson Group arranged three engineers and an assistant, and

the same went for Nores Group and Armstrong Corp.

As for how Mario would allocate the personnel, that was his own affair, and Ayan wouldn't interfere. He

just needed to know the final result.

They then discussed the things that needed to be done before the project officially started. Mr. Nores

suggested, "Although this project isn't a monumental one, it has garnered attention in Hance City's

business community. Especially with your participation, it has attracted even more attention. I

personally think it would be lively to hold a banquet, which would also serve as an announcement that

the project has officially begun. This way, we can gain free publicity for future recruitment and early

preparations for investment."

Mr. Nores' proposal was quite good. It would liven things up and serve as free advertising for this

occasion.

Ayan had no objections and simply nodded, saying, "Hmm, since Mr. Nores has this plan, let's leave it

to him to prepare! Mr. King, do you have any opinions?"

Mario said he had no objections. After all, it wasn't a big deal, just a banquet. It would be a good

opportunity to meet some influential figures in the business community and pave the way for King

Group's development in Hance City. Horace had no objections either.

So the banquet was finalized like that, and Mr. Nores was especially happy, especially since Ayan

entrusted him with the preparations for the event. He felt that he had been entrusted with an important

task.

After the meeting ended and everyone left, Mr. Nores stayed behind.

Mr. Nores asked Ayan, "Mr. Simpson, if I may ask, why didn't you participate in leading the main team

just now?"

Ayan simply smiled and replied, "Mr. King is more suitable. Mr. King has come from afar, giving face to

all of us. As the hosts, of course, we should offer more support to Mr. King. So, Mr. Nores, please bear

the responsibility for preparing the banquet!"

Mr. Nores was taken aback for a moment, then immediately smiled and said, "Of course, of course. But

personally, I think Simpson Group would have been more suitable."

"It doesn't matter. It's not a big deal. As long as it's for the good of the project, it doesn't matter who

does it."

"Well, Mr. Simpson's idea is more mature. I didn't consider it comprehensively enough."

"Mr. Nores, you're being modest. From now on, focus on preparing for the banquet. If you need to invite

anyone, you can directly coordinate with Kian. He will send out the invitations on behalf of Simpson

Group."

Ayan gave Mr. Nores enough face in this regard. After all, there were some companies and celebrities

who wouldn't come if invited in Mr. Nores' name, but it would be different if Simpson Group extended

the invitation. In Hance City, both the business elite and celebrities from other industries would give

face to Simpson Group.

Mr. Nores was thrilled, expressing his gratitude repeatedly, and then he said he wouldn't disturb Ayan

any longer and left Simpson Group.

After Mr. Nores left, Ayan also got up and prepared to return to the conference room. Kian was waiting

at the door and informed him, "Mr. Simpson, Mr. Burris is waiting for you in the office."

"He didn't leave?" Ayan asked, surprised.

Kian replied, "He already left, but he probably took a detour and came back. He probably didn't want

Mario and Mr. Nores to know."

Ayan nodded silently and continued walking toward the direction of the office.

Inside the office, Horace sat on the sofa waiting. As he heard the sound of the door opening, his gaze

turned towards it, and his eyes met Ayan's. A faint smile appeared in his eyes as he asked, "You

chatted with Mr. Nores for so long?"

Ayan took off his coat and handed it to Kian, then walked straight to the sofa and sat down. His voice

was warm as he said, "We talked for a while. Weren't you leaving?"

Horace smiled lightly and said, "I just wanted to chat with you."

Kian poured a cup of coffee for Ayan as well and whispered, "Mr. Simpson, take your time talking with

Mr. Burris. I'll leave first."

Kian left the office.

Ayan then looked at Horace and asked, "So, what do you want to talk about?"

Horace said, "Why did you give such an important position to Mario? It doesn't seem like your style at

all!"

"What do you think my style is like?"

"I think you should have at least fought for it, or you should have directly informed us that Simpson

Group would be leading the main team."

"Is that how you perceive me? Do you think I'm so competitive?" Ayan asked with a smile.

Horace said, "It's not about being competitive. I just think you should have done it." Co?tent belo?gs to

Ayan had nothing to hide from Horace, so he spoke honestly.

He could already imagine how troublesome it would be for Mario to deal with things if they really went

wrong.

After understanding the reasoning behind it, Horace silently gave a thumbs-up to Ayan.
