Chapter 1228: A Thorny Situation

Chapter 1228: A Thorny Situation

She couldn't use her credit card, nor could she afford all her preferences. But all of this had to be

resolved with Camille. Only Camille could convince Ayan to lift the punishments on the Nores Group.

She pressed her lips tightly, her expression becoming even more unpleasant. But she really didn't want

to approach Camille, nor did she want to bow down to her.

But what could she do?

She looked at her friend and voiced her inner thoughts, saying, "I don't want to apologize. I don't want

to bow down to Camille. If I do that, I'll lose all my face and dignity."

"Alicia, it's already come to this. Do you still think face and dignity are valuable? Don't you know what

happened at the restaurant today? Those people are waiting to see you become a laughingstock. If

something big happens to the Nores family, they will only step on you even harder. You know the rules

of this circle. Do you still want to prioritize your own face?"

Her friend was a true friend, speaking from the heart with every word she said to Alicia.

She gazed at Alicia and saw her unwillingness. She said, "I know you don't want to, but you need to

weigh the pros and cons. On one side is the Nores family, on the other is an apology. Choose one for

yourself!"

Her friend had spoken to this extent. Now it depended on whether Alicia could understand it on her

own. If Alicia couldn't figure it out herself, no amount of persuasion from others would be useful.

As for what Alicia would ultimately decide, only she would know in her heart.

Mr. Nores had frozen all her cards, restricted her spending, and even repossessed the properties under

her name. So she had nowhere to go temporarily and could only stay at her friend's house.

But how long could she continue like this?

This was also a question Mr. Nores wanted to know. Although Alicia was his daughter, a father's

understanding of his daughter was not thorough enough. It was difficult for him to guess even her most

basic thoughts and intentions.

Mr. Nores could only look at Mario again and ask, "Miss King, when do you think my daughter will

finally compromise?"

"It depends on whether the pressure you exert on her is strong enough."

"What do you mean by that?"

"I don't mean anything by it. I just want to tell you that only when the pressure is strong enough will she

understand how heavy the burden on your shoulders is. Only after experiencing it firsthand will she

understand your difficulties."

Mario was also aware of Alicia's arrogance and immaturity. Such a personality was a significant

mistake for a business. It would only bring endless trouble to the company and make the problems

bigger and bigger.

Being arrogant requires having enough skills and confidence. If the skills and confidence are not

sufficient, one should not act recklessly. Otherwise, they will only fall into a pit and struggle to climb out.

Mario's words struck a chord with Mr. Nores. The more Mr. Nores thought about it, the more he realized

that this matter was much more serious than he had imagined.

Mr. Nores looked at Mario and said, "Miss King, I apologize for the trouble I've caused you this time. I'm

pressuring my daughter to apologize, but would you consider speaking on my behalf to Mrs. Simpson?"

"Don't worry, I will talk to Cami on the phone. However, this matter has indeed caused her grievances,

and it's understandable that Mr. Simpson wants to support her. So you need to be especially careful on

your side, alright?"

Mario said calmly, then glanced at the time. He said, "I have some things to attend to. If you're finished

with your business, it's best for you to head back. Nores Group must have a lot to deal with right now,

right?"

Mr. Nores nodded gently, expressed his gratitude to Mario, and left the hotel.

As for calling Camille, Mario didn't do it immediately. Instead, he left and called his secretary, asking the

secretary to bring his mother over.

Mrs. King was still in Flento City and had been out and about recently. However, Sienna had been busy

with her competitions lately, so Mrs. King had fewer opportunities to meet with her. Mario rarely asked

Mrs. King to visit Sienna or have Sienna come to the hotel for a meal, and so on.

Mrs. King had initially thought that maybe Mario had changed his mind. After all, Sienna's situation was

quite special now. They were married and had made it public. If they had a wedding, it would be a done

deal. Additionally, the Ward family was not an ordinary family. If something really happened, everyone's

lives wouldn't be peaceful.

But now, Mario had asked the secretary to bring Mrs. King to the hotel again. Although they were

staying in the same hotel, Mario was busy and barely had any time to accompany Mrs. King. The two

of them hadn't seen each other for several days.

Mrs. King arrived at the hotel room where Mario was staying. Mario was on a phone call, so Mrs. King

sat down on the couch.

A few minutes later, Mario finished the call and walked over to sit across from Mrs. King.

Mrs. King looked at Mario and asked, "Mario, are you not busy today?"

Mario looked at Mrs. King and said, "Hmm, something came up. We'll continue with the project after it's

resolved."

"Is it nothing serious? Will it be difficult?"

"It has nothing to do with us, it's someone else's issue."

"That's good." Mrs. King breathed a sigh of relief. She didn't understand the company matters, as long

as it had nothing to do with Mario.

Mrs. King looked at Mario and asked, "Did you call me here for something?"

"Have you been in touch with Sienna recently?" Mario asked calmly, his gaze turning cold, and his eyes

carried an emotion that made Mrs. King unable to evade.

Mrs. King pursed her lips and softly replied, "Hmm, no contact, because you didn't say to contact her

either."

"Isn't Sienna the daughter you raised? When we were in Flento City, didn't you say she wasnovelbin

considerate? Why did such a significant change happen later? Do you think by distancing yourself from

her, you've completely cut off any connection between me and her?"

Mario's every word was a direct questioning, and his handsome face was expressionless to the

extreme.

His words made Mrs. King's face stiffen, and she seemed unprepared for Mario's directness. She

opened her mouth several times but ultimately didn't utter a sound.

Mario stared at Mrs. King and said, "I already told you the purpose of coming to Hance City this time

was for you to maintain a relationship with Sienna. No matter what you think, you must understand that

I will bring Sienna back."

"But she's already married, Mario. With your current excellence, you can have any kind of woman you

want. Why waste time on Sienna? Even if you do bring her back, what help can she provide for your

career?"

"I don't need any help, and neither does the King family. The King family now has no one in Flento City

who can easily challenge us. If I were to rely on a woman to secure the position of King Group and my

own, it wouldn't last." Mario directly rejected Mrs. King's words, his face filled with indifference as he

looked at her.
