Chapter 1106: Politeness

Chapter 1106: Politeness

Camille blinked, her eyes fixed on Ayan. She opened her mouth as if to ask but wasn't sure where to

start.

While Camille hesitated, Ayan's voice gradually broke the silence. He said, "I never expected you to

say yes immediately. I haven't prepared anything. I just thought there's been a lot going on lately. Inovelbin

decided to take you out for a break and see if my plans align with your expectations. But watching you

so happy, I thought you might like it. If that's the case, I was ready to propose today."

When they were at the civil affairs office handling their divorce procedures, Ayan had mentioned that

whatever others had, he would compensate for it in Camille's life.

This compensation naturally started with the proposal.

Camille remained silent, listening to him speak softly. He said a lot, but from beginning to end, he made

it clear to Camille: "As long as you feel it's not the right time or doesn't meet your expectations

completely, you can refuse. But if you refuse, you must give me another chance, and that chance can

only be given to me, understand?"

If the fireworks made Camille happy and even a bit moved, Ayan's words at this moment had

completely shattered Camille's inner world.

Because every word of his sucked her into his vortex. Even though she knew that falling in would lead

to an irreversible catastrophe, Camille hesitated for no moment and willingly succumbed.

Camille maintained her silence, waiting for Ayan to finish every word. Then, she took the initiative to

reach out, encircling the man's waist, completely burying herself in his embrace.

In a place where Ayan couldn't see, her eyes turned slightly red. His words were genuinely considerate

of her.

Perhaps she had lost many things, but what she gained was much more.

So, life was fair.

Camille pressed her lips together, remaining immersed, saying nothing as she held onto Ayan.

Perhaps sensing her emotions, Ayan lifted his hand gently, stroking her hair. He lifted her face from his

chest, staring into her reddened eyes. His voice was husky, and a faint smile played on his thin lips as

he asked, "Why are you crying? Just from this? If I do something else later, are you going to cry

endlessly?"

Camille raised her hand, lightly hitting his chest, and in a hoarse voice, she said, "I'm not crying!"

"Yes, you're not crying. I misunderstood, huh?"

Ayan was delighted. He gently embraced Camille, leaning down to kiss the corner of her lips, then held

her in his arms again.

He said, "I didn't do all this to make you cry. I want you to be happy, you know?"

Camille nodded lightly, still pursing her lips, held in Ayan's embrace. The two remained silent, just

quietly hugging each other.

They stayed on the mountaintop until it was nearing dawn before driving down.

Upon returning to Franklin Bay, they encountered Sienna and Rex, who were taking a stroll hand in

hand. Having noticed the headlights approaching, Sienna and Rex stopped, realizing it was either Ayan

and Camille or their family's car. Taking a casual walk wasn't an option, so it had to be Camille and

Ayan.

The two watched as the car approached, stopping in front of them.

Camille got out of the car and looked at Sienna and Rex, asking, "Are you two still working out so late?"

Sienna snorted, rolled her eyes at Camille, and asked, "Where were you guys? I shouted for half an

hour without any response. I thought you were already asleep. Turns out, you sneaked out to play.

Didn't bother to let us know. Are you secretly going out to eat something delicious?"

Camille pursed her lips and smiled, "Yes, we went out for a feast, and intentionally didn't bring you

along. So, don't bother asking. Do you really want to know such a cruel truth that would make you

uncomfortable?"

Ayan also got out of the car, handing a cigarette to Rex. Rex subconsciously looked at Sienna, who

didn't respond. Rex said, "No, I can't smoke lately. We're trying to conceive."

Rex stated it boldly, and Ayan casually put the cigarette back in the car. He rarely smoked;

occasionally, when he felt agitated, he'd have one.

Camille shot a glance at Sienna, whispering, "Are you trying to conceive?"

Sienna replied, "I'm not telling you. You didn't inform me when you went out to eat, didn't bring me

along. We live together, just separated by a wall. You didn't even shout, aren't you a bit heartless?"

Camille walked over and hooked her arm around Sienna's, saying, "Oh, come on. I told you we were

going to eat, and you believed it?"

"Yes, I unconditionally believe you. So, whatever you say, I believe."

"Then, I was wrong. Can I apologize to you?"

"Okay, I'm a generous person, not holding it against you. So, tell me, where did you guys go?"

"We took a stroll on the mountain."

"The back mountain?" Sienna asked.

Camille nodded lightly, confirming.

Sienna said, "So, the fireworks just now were from Mr. Simpson?"

Camille didn't deny it, nodding in acknowledgment.

Sienna sighed, "Does Mr. Simpson have to be so romantic? Look at my husband. Well, forget it. I won't

say anything. Let him sleep in the living room tonight!"

Camille and Sienna chatted by the car, while Ayan and Rex walked to the side of the road to talk.

Two girls chatted about men, and two men chatted about various things.

Everyone had endless topics. If it weren't for the reminder from the alarm to sleep, they probably would

have continued chatting.

This night was pleasant for everyone, especially Camille, who even had happy dreams.

The night passed, and the second day arrived.

The sun was shining brightly, and the weather was exceptionally good.

Camille, following the routine, went to the company with Sienna. Ayan didn't wait for her and had

already left early for the Simpson Group.

They had planned to visit the old Simpson in the hospital together after work, so the day was scheduled

quite tightly.

Camille and Sienna arrived at the company. In the morning, the two would take the assistants to meet

with the organizers of the design competition. This time, to ensure fairness, each selected designer

would be assigned a liaison officer responsible for coordinating various matters related to the design

competition.

This way, the designers wouldn't need to worry about handling other things and could focus all their

time on their works.

After meeting with their assigned liaison officer, they had to return to the company. So, lunch was a

quick affair.

While having lunch, Camille talked to Sienna about the plan to visit the hospital in the evening. Sienna

asked, "Should Rex and I come along as well?"

Camille shook her head. "No need. Grandpa is just getting accustomed to the hospital for now. He

hasn't started treatment yet. Besides, when people get older, having too many visitors might worry

them. So, let's not visit him for now. Pretend we don't know he's in the hospital, or treat it as a minor

matter. Ayan and I go see him every other day, just to share a meal with him."

Camille spoke lightly, and Sienna nodded in agreement. She said, "Alright then. If you need us to visit,

remember to tell me. Otherwise, my mother-in-law will think we're being impolite."

"Got it," Camille nodded.

After finishing lunch, they reclined on the office sofa to rest for a while.

Observing the office facilities, Sienna couldn't help but comment, "Why doesn't our office have a rest

area? Ayan and Rex not only have spacious offices but also a dedicated lounge. It's so unfair, isn't it?"

Camille laughed, "Could it be that we're just too broke? The temple isn't big to begin with. If we had a

huge office with a lounge for ourselves, I guess the employees would be stabbing us in the back."

Suddenly sitting up, Sienna declared, "I hope that in five years, we'll have our own office and our own

lounge."

Camille playfully agreed, "Sure, now that you've said it, your words are bound to come true."
