Chapter 1086: Back In Action

Chapter 1086: Back in Action

"Why is there no reason?"

"Really no reason?"

He couldn't believe it.

Camille looked into his dark eyes and said softly, "There really is nothing. It's probably because of the

excitement during the day that I couldn't sleep at night, so I ended up having a little insomnia and

decided to raid your liquor cabinet. I only had a few sips."

"Would you like to have a little more with me now?" Ayan asked calmly.

Camille pushed his hand away and replied, "I don't drink."

"How about having a drink with me?"novelbin

"You're unbelievable," Camille said irritably.

Her bristling attitude only made Ayan's lips curl in amusement.

The two of them cuddled in bed for a while, and then Ayan got up.

It was nearly lunchtime by now. Camille was taking her time getting ready while Ayan had already

instructed the housekeeper to serve the meal.

They hadn't had a meal together in the past two days, so this one felt particularly delicious. Camille's

appetite had improved as well.

She finished a bowl of rice, sipped on some soup, and devoured many dishes.

She ate to her heart's content.

After the meal, Camille sat in the garden. It was overcast today, with no direct sunlight, so she didn't

have to worry about getting sunburned.

Camille sat for a while and suddenly had an idea. She immediately turned to Ayan, who was standing

nearby, and said, "Would you like to go for a walk with me?"

Ayan didn't think much and just took Camille's hand as they went outside together.

The two walked from the villa to the spot where Camille had seen the scene from the balcony the night

before. It was only a few minutes' walk from the villa, and from there, they had an unobstructed view of

the entire villa.

Camille pursed her lips, gazing straight ahead with an unwavering focus.

Her behavior finally caught Ayan's attention, and he asked, "What are you looking at?"

Camille kept her lips pursed and didn't respond, but she asked, "What do you think you can see from

here at night?"

Ayan furrowed his brow, and his expression became more serious. "What are you talking about?"

Camille stayed silent for a second and then explained what she had seen last night. Ayan's face grew

darker the more he listened, and he asked, "Why didn't you tell me last night?"

"It was very late, and since you didn't respond to my messages, I figured you were resting. I didn't want

to disturb you. Besides, nothing significant happened, and I wanted to talk to you about it when you

came back today."

Camille offered a simple explanation, but Ayan's expression became even more somber and cold.

Ayan didn't say much but held Camille's hand as he led her to the security area.

By reviewing the surveillance footage from this time and cross-referencing it with the license plate and

vehicle information, they determined that the vehicle had entered around 9:00 pm and left the area.

The contact information and identity information left by the person who had parked the vehicle near

their residence were all for someone unknown to Camille and Ayan. If the person was a stranger, why

did they park their car near their residence?

According to the surveillance footage, the person entered Franklin Bay but didn't wander around; they

went directly to the spot where Camille had seen them.

Why would someone linger in the area for so many hours? Was it really just out of boredom?

At the moment, they could only confirm that it was a man because he had deliberately concealed his

face from the moment he entered Franklin Bay. Even when checked by the security as he entered, he

stayed in his car and made sure not to reveal much of his appearance.

After this series of investigations, Camille began to have vague concerns. As they walked back home

from the security area, Camille looked at Ayan and asked softly, "Do you think someone is watching

us? Could it be someone arranged by the Armstrong family?"

Worry filled Camille's eyes.

Ayan held her hand, and the warmth of his palm provided her with a great sense of security. He spoke

gently, "It doesn't matter who it is. Now that we know, I won't let them have their way."

Camille nodded lightly, saying, "I'm glad Timmy doesn't live with us. Otherwise, I would be really

scared."

"It's alright; don't worry. I'm here."

He stopped and looked at Camille with gentle, watery eyes.

Camille pursed her lips and said, "Okay."

Upon returning home, Ayan spent some time with Camille watching TV. In the afternoon, Camille had to

go to the office, so Ayan suggested she rest upstairs for a while and then they would go to the office

together.

Despite sleeping in late that morning, it had been an exhausting night, and she couldn't make up for the

lost sleep with just a day's rest. Camille didn't hesitate and gave Ayan a hug before heading upstairs to

rest.

After Camille went upstairs, Ayan took out his phone and went to the backyard to call Kian.

Ayan said, "I need you to do something for me."

"Mr. Simpson, what is it?" Kian asked in a low voice.

Ayan briefly stated the task, and Kian was momentarily surprised before asking, "Alright, I will make the

arrangements."

"Good."

Ayan squinted slightly, his expression indifferent and cold. After hanging up with Kian, he remained

seated, deep in thought, not moving for quite some time. It wasn't until his phone alarm rang that he

reacted.

Camille had set the alarm just before going upstairs to rest, and instead of immediately waking her up,

he allowed her to sleep a little longer.

In the afternoon, Camille and Ayan went to the office together. Ayan had arranged to pick her up after

work, so he watched her enter the company building and then drove to the Simpson Group.

At the Simpson Group, when Ayan entered his office, he found a woman already seated there.

Seeing Ayan enter, the woman quickly stood up and approached him. "Ayan!! Kian said you wanted to

see me?"

Ayan gave the woman a casual glance and asked in a cool tone, "What have you been up to recently?"

The woman hesitated for a moment, not quite understanding the intent behind Ayan's question. She

didn't dare remain silent for too long and quickly responded, "I've been working as a dance teacher,

teaching children to dance."

Ayan nodded indifferently and said, "That's good!"

The woman pursed her lips and asked Ayan, "Ayan, did you call me for a specific reason?"

Ayan squinted his eyes and walked over to his desk before speaking indifferently, "Don't you want to

make a comeback on your career?"

The woman's eyes lit up, and she asked, "Are you willing to help me?"

Ayan said, "Eileen, considering your current reputation, making a comeback won't be to your

advantage. In fact, it may even make your comeback more difficult. So, instead of making a comeback,

why don't you start your own dance studio?"

Eileen was taken aback. She didn't quite understand Ayan's meaning.

Ayan clarified, "I'll provide you with the necessary funds to start your own studio. What do you think?"

Eileen said, "Ayan, you said my reputation isn't great. If I start my own studio, will anyone come?"

"I will arrange for someone to manage it, so you don't have to worry about that."

"Why are you doing this?"

"I have my reasons," Ayan naturally didn't disclose his true intentions.

Eileen remained concerned. She didn't want to agree right away and said, "Ayan, can I think about it?"
