Chapter 1085: Dominance

Chapter 1085: Dominance

Although he had said she deserved it, his hand gently caressed her forehead.

Sienna pursed her lips lightly and, tilting her head upwards, stood on her tiptoes to kiss him. Her

initiative left Rex powerless to resist.

Sienna always had her way, every time without fail.

And so, the matter at hand was resolved in this manner.

Finally, Rex spoke, "I'm not afraid or worried, but I don't want you to keep things from me. So, no matter

what happens, you need to tell me, okay?"novelbin

Sienna nodded and said, "Mm-hmm, I got it, I got it!"

Her words were promising, but she often forgot.

Since Camille wasn't going to the office, Sienna went out with Rex.

As they passed by the villa where Camille and Ayan lived, Sienna couldn't help but bring it up, "Ayan

has been away on a business trip for two days, right? Why hasn't he come back yet?"

It made Rex uncomfortable, and he responded coldly, "What are you talking about?"

Sienna didn't realize the mistake in her words and repeated herself.

Rex, his gaze fixed on the window, reached over to cup her cheek and, in a cold and indifferent tone,

said, "Sienna, do you know what you're saying? It's best not to mention or even think about anything

related to other men in front of me. Except for me, you can't have any thoughts about anyone else."

His possessiveness left Sienna slightly stunned, but she soon realized it and smiled, asking, "Mr. Ward,

do you have to be so dominant?"

Rex gazed at her expressionlessly, his eyes seemed to be saying that this approach was currently

ineffective.

Sienna could only bite her lip and remain silent, her face showing a gentle expression as she gazed at

Rex. She whispered, "Then I was wrong, okay?"

"Do you truly understand your mistake?"

"Of course, I know I was wrong, and I'll change for the better."

"Humph!" Rex didn't believe her; this woman had him manipulated.

They continued chatting and arrived at the company. Due to the online events of the previous day,

there was some chatter within the company.

As Sienna entered the company's doors, she overheard a few female employees discussing. "Miss

Armstrong's mother is going too far, isn't she? It doesn't feel like the way a mother treats her own

daughter. Even my mom, who strongly favors sons, wouldn't treat me this way, at least not to the extent

of treating my life as a joke."

Another female employee chimed in, "I think the same. Miss Armstrong is such a good person, so why

does her mother act this way? If she wasn't her own daughter, why would she continually pester Miss

Armstrong and offer her so many benefits and favors?"

Sienna heard their conversations, and rather than thinking they were gossiping about Camille's

personal life behind her back, she believed they had valid points. After all, the facts they stated were

undeniable. Both Page and the Armstrong family indeed treated Camille unfairly.

Normally, partiality would be displayed on one side, but in the case of the Armstrong family, it was

evident on both sides.

What Page had done, especially, had gone beyond the expectations and imaginations of everyone.

Such actions did not seem fitting for a mother.

Sienna sighed silently and cleared her throat before proceeding inside. She did not reveal that she had

overheard the conversation, choosing instead to appear as though she had not heard them. She

greeted her coworkers with a gentle expression and a faint smile on her face.

Sienna went directly to her office. She hadn't damaged Camille's reputation or spoken ill of Camille, so

she didn't want to get involved.

All her focus was on Camille. As long as someone said a bad word about Camille, she couldn't stand it.

Because Camille was her best friend, and friends needed to support each other.

However, Camille was unaware of Sienna's efforts. She was still deep in slumber.

The curtains were drawn in the room, and the soundproofing was excellent. It was as quiet as late at

night.

Camille slept until close to noon.

After waking up, she opened the sun-blocking curtains and then lay in bed, not wanting to get up. The

bedroom door knocked at this moment.

Camille thought it was the housekeeper and casually said, "Come in."

The door was pushed open from the outside, and Camille was facing the window, so she didn't see

who entered. Her eyes were focused on the faint outside view as she remained silent. The room was

carpeted, so there were no footsteps to indicate the person's arrival.

But as Camille noticed that the housekeeper wasn't responding, she turned to look. Just as she was

about to turn around, a dark figure suddenly pressed down on her.

Camille was too stunned to make a sound as she found herself enveloped in the person's arms.

She gazed wide-eyed at the person before her, the man who had not returned her messages from

Dane City just last night.

How had he suddenly returned?

Of course, he had mentioned he would be back today, but she didn't expect it to be so soon.

Camille froze, her entire being utterly still. She stared at the man before her, and for a while, there was

no response or sound.

Instead, it was Ayan who broke the silence, "Why are you not speaking? Did you become unhappy

upon seeing me?"

Camille bit her lip, shaking her head lightly, and remained in the man's embrace. She didn't make any

move, even though her position was slightly uncomfortable.

At this moment, she simply wanted to be held by Ayan quietly, to feel the significance of his presence.

Seeing the reliance in her eyes, Ayan no longer asked questions. He turned to the side, taking her with

him and wrapping both of them with the blanket, making it more comfortable for both.

They lay like that, neither of them speaking. The atmosphere in the room was incredibly calm, so quiet

it was as if they could hear each other's heartbeats.

After an unknown amount of time had passed, Camille's voice finally broke the silence, "Why did you

come back so soon?"

"Didn't I say I'd be back today?"

"Why so soon? You didn't even tell me, so I could pick you up!"

"Didn't you drink my wine last night? Are you sure you could've woken up to pick me up?"

Ayan teased, his voice low.

His words made Camille recall the events of last night. She lifted her hand to cover her eyes to avoid

Ayan's gaze. In a low voice, she said, "What's wrong with having a drink? Are you so stingy that you

won't even let me have some?"

Ayan pinched her chin and had to forcibly remove her hand. His voice was deep and hoarse, "Why

would you want to drink alone?"
