Chapter 1074: Rupture

Chapter 1074: Rupture

One by one, everyone started to console Page, and they didn't forget to criticize Camille. But Page's

intentions went beyond seeking comfort. She enjoyed everyone's sympathy while also accusing

Camille.

"I have two daughters. My elder daughter was deceived and taken away by my younger daughter, and I

don't know where she's hidden because my younger daughter's ex-husband is a very capable person. I

suspect my younger daughter instigated her ex-husband to imprison my elder daughter. Now, I can't

even see my elder daughter without considering my younger daughter's mood."

"I don't even know what I did wrong. Why is my daughter treating me this way? Even if I did something

wrong, she could have just talked to me directly. Why does she treat me like this? Am I less than a

stranger in her eyes?"

The more Page spoke, the more agitated she became. Her exaggerations knew no bounds, and she

didn't care if she was exposed. All she could think about was having everyone speak up for her, help

her condemn Camille. Only when Camille faced questions and criticism, she would benefit in some

way.

Once this idea took root in her mind, she became even more determined to achieve it.

The video was only a little over three minutes long, but in that short time, she had already said so many

negative things about Camille. What can one imagine she might have said in Camille's absence?

The doctor said to Camille, "Mrs. Simpson, would you like to come here personally to deal with this, or

should I send your people to stop her? Although we are in the hospital, some patients can be quitenovelbin

stubborn, and we don't have the authority to do much, or we might even get reported by the patient."

"I understand what you're saying. Thank you for letting me know. I'll figure it out on my end. You don't

need to worry about her. No matter what she says or does, just follow your hospital's rules."

Camille responded briefly, then hung up the phone.

She rubbed her head vigorously, as all the back-and-forth with Page had given her a headache.

Camille let out a silent sigh. She felt quite helpless and powerless. She wasn't sure what she could do

to satisfy Page.

With all this turmoil, was she really not worried about erasing the last trace of their mother-daughter

relationship?

Camille felt truly helpless. She squinted her eyes in thought and then went to find Sienna.

Sienna was in the next office, having just finished her work. There was no one else in the office except

the two of them.

Seeing Camille's troubled expression, Sienna asked, "Why didn't you wait for me to come to work this

morning? Did you go somewhere alone to eat something delicious?"

Camille sighed, "I wish it were that simple."

Camille walked over to a nearby chair and sat down.

Sienna asked, "What's going on? Did something happen, or are you worried about last night's

incident?"

Camille shook her head without speaking, her lips pressed together. She raised her gaze to meet

Sienna's eyes and asked in a gentle tone, "If someone keeps challenging your boundaries repeatedly,

how do you make them stop from offending you?"

"Then you have to hit her where it hurts. She needs to feel pain or a threat for her to realize how

serious you are."

"But I never wanted her to think I'm formidable. I just hope she doesn't disturb me. We're living our lives

without interference, just like before. If there's something significant, I'll do my best to help. But apart

from that, we don't need any contact. Isn't that good enough?"

Why would they have to squeeze out her last bit of usefulness like this? Is that what they want?

Sienna naturally understood whom Camille was referring to. Hearing Camille's words, she knew

something had happened.

She asked, "What happened exactly?"

Camille showed the video to Sienna, who remained silent throughout. After watching it, Sienna

slammed the phone down on the desk, visibly angry. She said, "What is she doing? Why is she once

again blaming Grace's situation on you? To be honest, I'm starting to think we should just bring Grace

back so you don't have to suffer."

Sienna cared about Camille, and as for Grace, the Armstrong family had been pushing all matters

concerning her onto Camille. As Camille's friend, she found it unfair.

Camille looked helpless and said, "Actually, having Grace come back won't solve the issue. It will only

drag her into the mess. The Armstrong family is like this now because they've put their interests ahead

of anyone's feelings."

Sienna was also distressed and looked at Camille. She asked, "So, what should we do? We can't keep

watching her do this, can we?"

Camille sighed and smiled wryly. She said, "No, we can't. If we do, I might really reach my limit." Her

eyes were filled with helplessness as she gazed at Sienna. She spoke slowly, one word at a time, "You

mentioned that making her feel threatened is the way for her to understand my feelings, right?"

Sienna nodded in agreement.

Camille said, "Then I'll pay a visit to the Armstrong's villa."

"You're going to see Master Armstrong?" Sienna referred to Brody as Master Armstrong because she

didn't want to call him uncle. She was aware of Brody's mistreatment of Camille, and recently, he had

arranged for Camille to be taken back to the Wesley family. She held some resentment towards him.

Camille nodded, saying, "If what she said is true, then they are on opposite sides, and I don't want to

be involved any longer. The only way is to let them handle it themselves."

Even though they were parents, she had no other options. She couldn't keep accommodating, doing

everything as per Page's requests. She couldn't do that, and she shouldn't.

Sienna agreed and immediately said, "Let's go now. I'll go with you."

Camille looked at Sienna, nodding gently. The two of them set off together.

Naturally, Brody was at the Armstrong's villa because he had plenty to deal with recently. The issues

with the Wesley family were far from resolved, and they kept demanding repayment. However, Brody

had already pocketed the money and was unwilling to part with it. So, these days, he was entangled in

disputes with the Wesley family. They practically showed up at his doorstep every day, and Brody had

gone from pretending to deal with them to outright ignoring them.

When Camille and Sienna arrived at the Armstrong family estate, the staff informed them that the

Wesley family had just left after having a heated argument with Brody.

As Camille and Sienna entered the villa, they found Brody in the living room, on the phone, complaining

about the Wesley family. It wasn't clear who he was talking to, but his tone was exceptionally gentle, a

gentleness that Camille rarely witnessed.

Upon seeing Camille and Sienna, Brody tensed up immediately. He told the person on the other end of

the line, "We'll talk later. I have something to attend to now," and promptly hung up. He gazed at

Camille indifferently and asked, "Why are you here?"

Brody's attitude was chilly, and Camille didn't expect warmth or tenderness from him either. She didn't

even sit down before she went straight to the point, asking, "Do you know that she's in the hospital?"

Brody remained silent but gave Camille a dispassionate glance, confirming that he knew.

Camille continued, "You don't have to answer that question, as it's not the main reason I came here

today." She looked at Brody with a hint of suggestion in her voice and said, "Your marital relationship

has long been shattered, hasn't it?"
