Chapter 1050: Transformation

Chapter 1050: Transformation

The receptionist was momentarily stunned but quickly responded, "Mr. Armstrong is in her office,

indeed working on something. Let me check with her."

She invited Page to sit down and rest while she hurried off to find Yessica.

Upon hearing that Page had come, Yessica was also taken aback. Page's actions from the previous

day had left a lasting impression, and this news had Yessica rushing to find Camille. She said, "Cami,

your mother is here."

Hearing the word "mother," Camille initially assumed it was Talia who had come.

Yet after a moment's thought, she realized that if Talia were coming, she would have informed her in

advance. Of course, this didn't include the possibility that Talia might come as a surprise to her.

However, Yessica had met Talia, so it couldn't be her, especially not with the current signs of

nervousness and concern.

Camille slightly narrowed her eyes and asked in a faint tone, "What does she want?"

They had met just last night, and a lot of arguments had taken place. Camille couldn't imagine that she

would show up again today. It probably wasn't for a good reason.

Yessica shook her head and replied, "She didn't say, only that she wanted to see you. But she also said

she didn't want to disturb your work and brought a lot of food."

Sienna, who was nearby, also overheard and expressed some bewilderment, saying, "What kind of

trick is she trying to pull? A trap, perhaps?"

Camille didn't react and maintained a cold expression. Seeing Camille like this, Sienna inquired,

"Should I go meet her?"

Camille smiled and looked at Sienna, saying, "Do you want to challenge her in the art of arguing? I'm

guessing that's what she's here for."

"But I'm worried about you."

"Alright, I know, but there's no need. I'll go see her."

Camille set aside the pen she was holding and walked out of her office.

Sienna quickly turned to Yessica and said, "You follow her, and if things seem off, call me right away. I

won't go out easily because I'm afraid I won't be able to control my eight-foot-long sword."

Yessica smiled and nodded, saying, "Alright, if anything happens, I'll let you know immediately."

"Go ahead." Sienna watched Camille's figure as she left, her face filled with concern.

Meanwhile, Camille had approached Page in the waiting area. She gazed at Page with a faint look andnovelbin

calmly said, "Are you here to see me? Is it about last night? If it is, I can only say that I cannot agree

with you, so there's no need for you to come all the way here to find me."

Camille's tone was somewhat cold. Under normal circumstances, Page would have been angry by now

and might have even accused Camille of being impolite. However, Page wasn't showing any sign of

anger. Instead, she lowered her head and said with a tinge of guilt in her voice, "Cami, you're right. We

let you down. After last night's events, your father and I have seen many things clearly, especially the

Simpson family's attitude towards you, which is much better than ours. Just thinking about all of this

makes me feel terrible. I feel so sorry for you."

Page was filled with guilt and self-blame, and her face showed remorse and sadness.

Camille furrowed her brows in response to Page's various reactions. She was taken aback because

she hadn't expected Page to say such things. The fact that she could say them was genuinely

surprising and shocking.

Camille pursed her lips. She looked at Page with a hint of wariness, and her expression was one of

disbelief. She hadn't seen Page like this before. So, what had happened to cause such a significant

change?

Could it really be because of the events at the Simpson family's house last night?

Camille couldn't believe it.

Because she didn't believe that the situation from last night was enough to make Brody and Page

change. If it were really due to last night's events, then they should have changed long before, why wait

until last night?

After all, the Simpson family had been good to her for a long time. So why hadn't she changed sooner?

Camille couldn't help but self-mock with a wry smile. Her expression became even colder. She opened

her mouth and said, "Just tell me directly, what do you want me to do? Do you want me to tell Ayan not

to pursue the Armstrong family any longer, or do you want me to listen to you and go back to the

Armstrong family to help you deal with the difficulties, and as you wish, marry into the Wesley family?"

Camille remained unwavering.

She would not believe that Page's actions were a result of self-reflection.

Her attitude became very direct, and this made Page's face slightly tense. Page quickly said, "Cami, I

know you don't believe me, but it's okay. I think you will believe me in the near future. I'm not doing this

to make you show sincerity and make amends. I'm just worried about our relationship becoming

estranged. I've genuinely realized that we were too selfish before, only concerned with the present and

not thinking about the future. We didn't think for you, but things are different now. I genuinely want to

change, Cami. Can you give Mom a chance?"

Page started to cry as she spoke. She lowered her head to wipe away her tears, leaving Yessica, who

was standing nearby, stunned.

How had things turned out this way?

The atmosphere became quiet, with only Page's faint sobs filling the room. The rest of the employees

in the office area could hear clearly and see what was happening in the lounge area. Everyone was

surprised by Page's sudden transformation.

However, this was Camille's family matter, and as employees, they couldn't pay too much attention to

the boss's personal affairs. So, they tried to focus on their work.

But Page's voice was somewhat loud, probably because she was crying. Camille remained silent and

unmoved, allowing Page to cry. Eventually, Page stood up from her chair and looked at Camille. She

said, "Cami, what do you want me to do to forgive me? Do you want Mom to kneel down and

apologize? If that's what it takes for you to be happy and to stop blaming me, I'll do it. I'm willing to do

anything you want."

Page spoke, and then, she prepared to kneel in front of Camille. However, Camille didn't make any

move to stop her, and Page found herself in an awkward half-kneeling position.

Page looked at Camille in disbelief. She asked gently, "Cami, do you really need me to do this to

forgive me?"

Camille remained composed, her expression cold. She said, "What you choose to do is your business,

and whether I forgive you is mine. If you genuinely want to show sincerity, then demonstrate your

attitude, but don't do something that's out of line with our relationship like you're doing now. If you kneel

to me here today, does that mean I'll be stabbed in the back tomorrow? Will I be slandered on the

internet?"

Camille's gaze was truly cold, and she believed that if Page's intentions were genuine, she wouldn't

resort to pressuring her like this, nor would she put her in a situation where she might drown in public

criticism.

Page seemed taken aback by Camille's words. It seemed like she hadn't anticipated this. After a

moment of surprise, Page quickly said, "Cami, it's all my fault. I didn't think it through. You can scold

me. As long as you're willing to forgive me, I'm willing to do whatever it takes. Cami, can you give Mom

a chance, please?"
