Albert said in a gentle voice, "Even though you and Stella are divorced, to me, we're still family. Besides, I'm just used to callingyou that after so many years."
Keegan raised his eyebrows and said, "Well, I'm afraid that you have to start getting used to addressing me in a different waynow. You're not Stella's father. Technically, I'm not related to you in any way. If you don't stop calling me that, I'll have to do a lotof explaining to others. So, please stop doing that."
The edge of Albert's eye twitched as he felt extremely awkward.
However, when he heard how warmly Keegan said Stella's name, he realized that Keegan was still willing to be with her despitebeing lied to previously.
So, it further solidified his decision to adopt Stella and become her foster father because the benefits that the Kane family hadbrought him in the past years were simply irresistible and he could not let go of them.
Albert quickly adjusted himself. "Even though I'm not Stella's biological father, I've raised her since she was a child. I’ve also toldher about adopting her and | know that deep down, she's fine with it too. No matter what, I'm still considered as her father."
Hylda became anxious after hearing what. "What nonsense are you talking about? Are you sure that you want to adopt Stella?Are you out of your mind?"
Albert's face immediately darkened. "Shut up when men are talking!”
Hylda was fuming. Not only that Albert cheated on her and got another woman pregnant, he even tried to adopt Stella. She couldnot figure out what was going on in Albert's head. Stella had such deep resentment toward them, yet he wanted to keep a deadlythreat around him. Albert's decision was simply ridiculous to Hylda!
As her anger flared, her stomach began hurting. She instinctively grabbed Albert and grunted, "Albert, my stomach hurts."
Albert thought that she was just pretending to ruin his plan, so he got impatient with her. "Go back to your room and rest then.Who told you to come outside?”
Then, he turned to Stella and put on a concerned look on his face. "Stella, how have you been lately? Is the money | transferredto you previously enough? | can give you more money If you need them."novelbin
Hylda was already very angry, and her eyes rolled to the back of her head when she heard Albert giving Stella money behind herback.

Albert was not bothered to throw himself at Keegan anymore, as he quickly followed lan after briefly saying goodbye to him.Keegan asked, "Mr. Jewell, do you need help?"
Albert paused as he did not expect Keegan to call him back.
He instinctively asked without thinking, "With what?"
Keegan then flatly said, "| can recommend you to a good obstetrician that | know. She provides excellent care for older mothersand ensures minimal pregnancy complications."
Albert was surprised when he heard that. "Why would you know an obstetrician?"Keegan replied, "I had plans to have a kid with Stella, and | wanted to find out how to increase the probability of having a boy."
Stella was speechless.
