Chapter 2144Vermont was technically chasing them out of the house.
Unfortunately, Felicity did not catch on as she said, "Stella didn't even eat much. What's there to digest? What she ate couldbarely feed the two little ones in her belly, right Stella?"
Stella blinked her eyes. "Not at all. I'm actually very full."
She then turned to Keegan. "What about you, are you done?’
Keegan said, "I'm stuffed."
So, they said goodbye and left. Once they got into the car, Stella began complaining.
"Vermont is such a fake gentleman! | told him to have a baby with Felicity first so his mother-in-law would accept him, but heaccused me of betraying Felicity.
"| thought he was a good man back then, thinking Felicity had finally found the one for herself. It turns out that everything is just alie!"
Keegan was not aware of the condition Florence came up with and was puzzled upon hearing what Stella said. Afterunderstanding the situation, he remained silent for some time.
Then, he said, "He's fulfilled the wish he made when he was young."
Stella got curious and asked, "What wish?’ "He wanted to marry a wealthy woman so he doesn't have to work."Stella could not help but burst out laughing.
When Felicity came out of the bathroom and saw Vermont cleaning the table, she went over to help.
As she cleared the table, she asked, ' Do you feel that Stella has become more beautiful since she got pregnant?" "Did she?"Vermont thought for a moment before saying, "She does seem less mean than before."
Felicity's eyelid twitched as she glared at him. "You're the mean one!"
He chuckled. "Wasn't she mean with me when | was pursuing you?" "You deserve it! Why did you lie to me? Besides, what haveyou done to pursue me? All you do is run your mouth! Who pursues someone by only taking them out to eat every day?"
He then humbly asked, "What is the correct way then?"
Felicity snorted. "At the very least, you should give me flowers, maybe a love letter or even a short note to express your feelings.Otherwise, how could | showcase my worth?"
Vermont said, "| wrote one, but | was too embarrassed to show you.”
Felicity's eyes lit up. "Where is it?”
Vermont said softly, "It's on the desk in my bedroom."
Felicity immediately put down the plates in her hand. "I'll go check it out."Before Vermont could say anything, she ran to his bedroom.
On the bedside table was a bouquet of various kinds of flowers, beautifully arranged and vibrant. Next to it was a pink envelopeunder a decoration.
Felicity used to think that pink was too girly for her. But looking at the envelope now, she found it oddly cute.
She pushed the decoration aside, picked up the envelope, and took out a piece of paper from inside, feeling somewhat nervousas she did so.
