Wren was not expecting to see Stella here at all as she hastily wiped away the tears on her face and called out in a hoarsevoice, "Hello, Ms. Hall.”
She was only a few years older than Sonia. She was a young lady with an oval-shaped face, looking very youthful. However, herskin seemed somewhat pale, giving her a fragile appearance that reminded Stella of Colin Craven. That left a deep impressionon Stella.
Stella handed her a tissue and said gently, "Here, wipe your tears."Wren took it and thanked her.
Stella was not a nosy person, but when she came in earlier, she overheard Wren on the phone with the hospital mentioningpayment and surgery.
It reminded her of the helplessness she felt when she could not afford to pay for Rainee's treatment in the hospital to keep heralive. So, she could not help but ask, "Are you facing any difficulties back home?"
Wren had already stopped crying by then, but as soon as Stella asked that question, tears welled up in her eyes again. Wrenfought them back, shook her head, and said, "Ms. Hall, everything's fine. Thank you for asking. I'll get back to work now.”
She then left in a hurry after saying that.

Kiara was not one to gossip, but Wren was probably one of the most helpful people from the finance department. Wheneveryone went to reimburse work expenses, others would always make excuses and delay their payments.
One would even have to treat the employee from the finance department to a meal if they wanted to get reimbursed as soon aspossible. Otherwise, the whole process could take up to six months.
However, nobody dared to offend anyone from the finance department, so most people could only play by their rules.
But Wren was different from those seasoned employees in the department as she would not give anyone a hard time. Generally,when anyone went to her for reimbursement within the company's approved scope, she would process them promptly andefficiently.
So, Kiara figured that she should step up for Wren after she got targeted this time. However, she was not in a position to makewaves, fearing that she might offend someone and get herself into trouble.
When she heard Stella's conversation with Wren in the restroom, she hesitated but decided to tell Stella the whole story anyway.
