Chapter 2012

Chapter 2012

Vermont shared a picture in the group chat-an open cemetery with a striking red spot in front of

Rainee's grave.

The photo, taken from a distance, showed only Keegan's back, making him unrecognizable to Vermont.

However, having been to Rainee's funeral, Vermont could pinpoint her gravesite accurately.

Stella fretted that someone they knew might see Keegan in his flashy suit at the cemetery. She

reassured herself, thinking it wasn't a holiday, and no one would likely be around. But the unexpected

occurred.

Someone at the cemetery noticed this unusual sight and posted it on Twitter.

Vermont, being as nosy as ever, quickly recognized Rainee's grave right after stumbling upon that

picture while browsing Twitter. So, he immediately sent it into their group chat.

[What's happening? Why would someone dress like this to provoke Ms.

Spade? Stella, do you want me to find this person and give him a beating?]

Felicity chimed in: [Who's that scumbag? I'm going kill him!]

Stella discreetly aimed her phone's camera at Keegan, who was engrossed in checking emails,

snapped a picture, and sent it.

Just as Vermont and Felicity were strategizing on how to handle the guy in the red suit, they suddenly

went silent.

Felicity texted: [He's so damn hot.]

Vermont, puzzled, replied: [???]

Felicity wasn't joking; she genuinely found Keegan good-looking.

None of them had seen Keegan in red, a bold color to pull off.

However, Keegan, with his fair skin and handsome features, didn't look bad at all in the red suit; it even

elevated his charm.

The red suit, paired with a black shirt sans tie, added a hint of daring elegance. Felicity finally

understood why Stella was so smitten with him.

Vermont, a bit annoyed, typed: [No matter how good he looks, it can't cover up the fact that he has a

non-functional brain. Who wears a red suit to visit their mother-in-law's grave?]

Stella responded: [He normally wouldn't do this. Perhaps he's just too excited.]

Vermont clenched his teeth as he typed: [Just a pair of twins, isn't it? What a dork!]

Stella paused, thinking to herself, 'Has Keegan, the show-off, already spilled the beans about our twins

to provoke him?' 'If that's the case, I should play along.’

Then, she replied: [It's not about the babies. It's something else. Why don’t you take a guess?]

Felicity texted: [Keegan gave you money!]

Vermont texted: [Money is the last thing Stella needs now. Did Keegan manage to find out the gender

of the babies through some unconventional means? Are they a boy and a girl?]

Felicity texted: [It's impossible. Stella told me that she wanted to keep it as a surprise. He wouldn't do

that.]

Vermont texted: [What else could it be then? Stella, just tell US. Share the joy]novelbin

Stella replied: [Well, it's not a big deal. We just got our marriage certificate.]

In the next moment, Vermont exited the group chat, leaving only Stella and Felicity inside.

Stella wasn't expecting that.

In less than a minute, Felicity added him back in.

Felicity wrote: [I'm going to block you if you dare to leave the group again! If you ever want to talk to

me, you'll have to transfer me money like Keegan did to Stella back then. Trust me, you wouldn't want

to do that!]
