Chapter 2011

Chapter 2011

Keegan opened his WhatsApp, and his eyelid twitched. He said, "I'd never send such long texts to

anyone. Isn't this too fake?"

Stella snorted, "If it was sent to Vermont, he might notice, but Jaylene definitely won't. If you were to

send her a love poem now, she’d only think that you finally fell in love with her."

Keegan had an incredulous expression on his face upon hearing that.

Stella said, "Keegan Kane, let me ask you this. If I'm going to attend a film festival and ask you to drivenovelbin

me to the venue, what am I trying to do?"

Keegan's eyes flickered as he said slowly, "You want me to witness the glorious moment of your career,

you want to share the joy with me, and you love me." "All wrong. I would do that because it's free.”

Keegan's heart shattered into pieces. 1

Then, she told him, "People in love tend to focus on themselves more, and you're the prime example of

that."

Keegan was speechless.

Of course, he was not going to admit it. However, shortly after Stella finished speaking, Jaylene texted

him again after her call was not answered. It said: [Keegan, don't mind whatever my mom said. She

loves to meddle in everything, but I'm already an adult. Whether I want to get drunk or come home

later, it's my choice. It has nothing to do with you.]

Keegan did not say anything.

Stella, propping her chin, imitated Jaylene’s tone, "Keegan, say something."

He tossed the phone onto the bed, bent down, and lifted her horizontally.

She hugged his neck and said, "Keegan, why are you getting so rough?"

Keegan's eyelid twitched fiercely, "Speak normally!"

Stella leaned close to his ear and exhaled gently, "Can you be more specific? I can speak in just every

voice for you. Do you want to hear a mature voice, a cute voice, or the voice of your beloved?"

Keegan looked at the seductive woman in his arms and said in a serious tone, "Well, will you imitate

the voice of my mother-in-law then?"

His response left Stella utterly speechless.

Keegan then carried her into the bathroom, put her down, and said while squeezing toothpaste for her,

"Hurry up and get ready. Let's go to the cemetery and share the good news with Mom."

Stella paused, "Which Mom?"

Keegan handed her the toothbrush, "Both."

Keegan had already changed into his red suit when she finished brushing her teeth.

Stella stared at him for a while, making Keegan somewhat uncomfortable," Is everything okay?"

She pursed her lips and said, "Are you going to wear this to the cemetery?" "Why not? It's a lively color,

isn't it? When we got married last time, I didn't really visit her in the hospital with you. I always felt that it

was pointless to talk to someone in a coma.

"At that time, I didn't realize that some of Dahlia's behavior was subtly influencing me. I'm not someone

unrelated to her; I'm the husband of her most beloved daughter," Keegan explained.

Stella remained silent.

He sounded very genuine. She did not want to say anything to dampen his spirit.

'Forget it. Let's not ruin the mood since he's so sincere. Besides, we won't necessarily run into

someone we know anyway, right?' Stella thought to herself.

However, not long after they visited both Rainee's and Freesia's graves, Vermont tagged Stella in the

group chat.

[Stella, did your mom have any deep-seated grudges with someone back then? A shameless guy in a

red suit is dancing around her grave.]
