Chapter 1758

Chapter 1758

Vermont snorted, “If I’m not on your side, I would have waited until she had the abortion before tellingyou!”

Keegan kept a tense face, and his eyes were gloomy.

Vermont spoke coldly, “If the child is all you want, I advise you not to provoke her any further. If thechild is gone, just accept it. You don’t remember her anymore, after all. You can always find someoneelse to bear your child.”

Keegan, still frowning, felt a sharp pain in his temples. He forcefully pressed his hands against them. After a long pause, he said, “I… My mind is a mess right now.”

“How do you really feel about this?” Vermont scrutinized him. “Keegan, out of everyone, Stella is theonly person you can’t remember. Don’t you find it strange?”

Keegan kept quiet. It felt like there was a locked area in his brain; whenever he tried to access it, hewould experience a splitting headache.

His brain was subconsciously resisting Stella, and he could not fully control it.

He would instinctively observe Stella’s actions. For example, when they were eating yesterday, henoticed that Stella did not take a single bite of the dishes that Marshall had served her.novelbin

Instead, she stared at the light dishes the maids were serving. Her eyes would light up when they wereabout to serve her. However, when someone else told the maids to serve those dishes to them first, she would look somewhat disappointed.

So, Keegan would deliberately tell Jaylene to serve him the heavy dishes, just so the maid would go toStella’s side more often.

His mood would strangely turn better when he saw her eating happily.

However, whenever Stella took the initiative to approach him, he would subconsciously put his guardup to keep her away.

It was contradictory.

Abnormally contradictory.

Even without Vermont’s reminder, he was sharp enough to notice something was not still wanted tokeep Stella away before he could figure out exactly what went wrong.

This was not because he hated her, but… he felt that doing so was the right thing. He even hoped thatStella would go far away from not only him but Marshall as well.

But why Marshall? 1

Keegan’s head throbbed again.

Vermont saw his pale face and could not help but ask concernedly, “Keegan, are you okay?”

“My head hurts.”

With a painful look on his face, Keegan took out a bottle of medicine from his pocket and swallowed apill.

Soon, his headache subsided.

Vermont was amazed, “What kind of painkiller is this? How can it be so effective?”

Keegan did not say anything but looked at the bottle for a while before asking, “Where’s your brother?”

“Working, why?”

Keegan tightened his grip on the medicine bottle, “Take me to see him.” i

Vermont was confused but did as he said anyway.

Stella went back to her ward to get changed.

Felicity asked while standing next to her, “Stella, are you really going to another hospital to get theabortion?

“Do you really have to give up on my goddaughter?

“I sent the baby’s ultrasound to my mom yesterday. She could tell the baby will live a life with greatwealth and success.”

Stella was speechless.

“She could tell all that just by looking at the ultrasound?”
