Chapter 1609

Felicity was taken aback. “Gone missing? Stella just asked me how to make apple porridge thismorning, and she even sent me a picture of it after she was

done. She told me that she was going to bring it to Keegan.”

Vermont paused. ’Try contacting Stella now and see if you can reach her.”

Felicity immediately tried contacting Stella through both calling and messaging.

The call was connected, but no one answered. And her messages were left

unread.

Now, the both of them grew anxious.

They would not be anxious like this if this was some other day.novelbin

However, today was the chairman’s election meeting of Vinci Rivera, so both of

them going missing at a time like this made them overthink.

Vermont immediately suspected that Chandler might be the person behind this.

Chandler and Keegan were equally capable in the company, and both of them

had a significant chance of winning the election. A few years ago, Chandler was

more influential and powerful than Keegan, but things had changed.

Although the Saun family seemed as though they did not care about the election

even after Stella’s return to the

family, they were secretly doing a lot of things to support Keegan.

Anyone with a clear mind could see who the better chairman would be. No

matter how hard Chandler tried to maintain his relationship with other

shareholders, they were still more concerned about their personal interests. So,

even before the meeting started, many of them had already switched sides.

If Keegan did not arrive at the meeting in time and it was canceled, his

reputation would definitely take a hit. Then, Chandler would probably initiate an

impeachment protocol along with other shareholders, causing the next election

to be delayed indefinitely.

The longer it dragged on, the harder it would be for Keegan to get rid of

Chandler.

Keegan had prepared for this battle for so long, yet he went missing on the most

important day. Vermont could not convince himself that it had nothing to do with

Chandler.

Vermont and Felicity acted separately, with one going to Vinci Rivera to check

on things, while the other contacted Stella’s friends and family to check if

anyone knew where she went.

Aldor was asked to go upstairs, but the person who was supposed to give him

the documents was nowhere to be seen.

Aldor was not the only one coming to collect the documents, so he figured that it

would be inappropriate for

him to rush that person. He stared at his watch anxiously, hoping to hear from

Keegan soon.

When he finally got the documents, there were only about ten minutes until the

meeting started.

Vermont was squatting down outside of Vinci Rivera’s office. He could see some

bloodstains on the ground and some of them were not dried yet. And he saw

some apple porridge spilled on the ground. He could not find the thermos

anywhere and thought that the janitor had probably taken it away.

He thought about the apple porridge that Felicity had mentioned earlier and said

in a hoarse voice, “Aldor, something bad has most probably happened to them.”

Aldor’s expression changed.

Someone urged Aldor to go upstairs and prepare for the meeting, as it was

going to start soon.

Aldor wiped his sweat away and tried to calm himself down. “Mr. Snyder, please

call the police to find them. I’ll take care of the meeting and tell Mrs. Kane Sr.

about this.”

“Sure.”

Stella had inhaled some hallucinogenic substance, but she did not lose

consciousness because she had held her breath. However, her limbs felt weak,

and she did not dare to move or open her eyes.

The sight of Keegan covered in blood was still vivid in her mind. She had no

idea how bad his injuries were. He was right beside her, but she could not even

bring herself to look at him.

She was terrified, but she tried her best to keep her emotions in check and

remain calm.
