Stella did not expect Hylda to search for clues in Xenia’s phone. Fortunately forthem, Hylda could notfind anything since Xenia did not save Stella’s number and had deleted their conversations.
Stella wondered why she would invite Xenia over to the wedding. ‘Is she going to expose Albert forhaving a mistress? But, she’s about to become Mrs. Jewell. It would be quite a slap in the face if shedid that on her wedding day. Or… is she going to expose the child?’
At that time, Xenia realized that her phone was missing. ‘I must’ve left it in the cab,’ she thought. Shethen started getting anxious about not being able to contact Stella. She was looking for her in the crowdwhen she suddenly heard Albert say, ’Xenia? Why are you here?” His tone was full of surprise. Hequickly glanced around to see if anyone noticed them and frowned. “Didn’t I tell you to stay at homeand take care of yourself? Why did you come here?”
Xenia finally saw Stella at that moment and felt relieved when she saw the reassuring look Stella gaveher.
She clenched her fists, and her eyes red. Then, she hoarsely said, “Didn’t you promise to break thingsoff with her? Yet, what do you two think you’re doing? Were you just lying to me?”
Albert was in a sticky situation. He had organized the wedding without Xenia’s knowledge since he didnot want to lose her nor did he want to lose Hylda.
Before leaving Xenia’s place, Albert had instructed the bodyguards to keep an eye on Xenia andprevent her from leaving the house. ‘Those idiots. Why can’t they just do their job?’ he thought. ‘Peopleare going to think that something is wrong when they see this young girl crying in front of me. Ugh.
Ultimately, Albert had no choice but to coax Xenia. “Why would you say that? You know she’s pregnant.This wedding is just a formality. I don’t have any feelings for her anymore, but the child… Don’t worry. Ipromise I’ll divorce her as soon as the baby is born.”
Xenia was still sobbing. She looked like Rainee the most when she cried, and this made Albert melt.

Hylda’s expression turned ugly when she saw Xenia. “Why is she here? It’s my big day today. What areyou trying to do, Albert?” she asked angrily.
Albert was at a loss. “I’m not doing anything. It wasn’t me who invited her. Ah, forget it. I’ll havesomeone send her away immediately.”
“Hey, hey, hey. What’s with all the commotion?” Vermont appeared out of nowhere and said. When hesaw Xenia’s face, he paused for a moment and continued, “This young lady looks rather familiar.”
Hearing that, Albert felt guilty. Worried that Vermont would recognize Xenia from helping in Rainee’sfuneral arrangements, he explained, ‘She’s a distant relative.”
Hylda was embarrassed by the situation and remained silent.
“Oh. What’s your name, miss?” Vermont asked curiously.
“She is shy, Mr. Snyder. Why don’t you stop with the questions and come have a drink with us?”
“What? Are you scared that I’ll take a fancy to your relative?” Vermont chuckled.
Albert forced a laugh and pulled Vermont away.
