Back then, Frank was a proud young man from a good family. He was no exception to Iris’s charms,

It was as if he had been placed under a spell. He frequently went to the film set to look for Iris, but he

failed to see her every time. The production crew told him she had gone back to Lotharia and that she

had gotten together with another actor, Charles Griffin.

He thought that they had been lying to him, but he later heard that she had returned to Merania from

Frank didn’t want her to see how hard it was for him, so he gritted his teeth and said, “It’s fine. There’s

no way I’ll allow my woman to fork out her own money.”

“Then let’s treat this as you investing in my company. I’ll give you bonuses in the future.”

Iris was pretty good in bed. She had good looks, and she had a way with words. Because of this, Frank

was completely under her spell. The moment he got home, he told his father that he needed a million

dollars to “set up a new project”. Once he had the money, he gave it all to Iris.

so he didn’t mention this to anyone. In his heart, however, he hated Iris deeply. As Iris’s business

expanded, her net worth gradually surpassed his, and he didn’t have the guts to bring their past up.

Later, he met Shirley. She had a gentle personality and loved him with all her heart. They quickly got

married and started a family. Perhaps it was an aftereffect of his relationship with Iris—he felt that any

woman who didn’t lie to him was a good one, and he treated Shirley well.

Frank and Iris were the only two people who knew about this, so why was someone suddenly bringing
