Chapter 480 The Same Room as Him

Damien immediately had his men run a background check on the man in the picture.

The picture depicted a man hugging Clarissa affectionately.

Later that night, he asked his son, “Neil, do you want your mommy to live here?”novelbin

“Of course I do!”

“Then, just call her if you want her to stay with you.”

Neil stared at Damien before asking innocently, “Daddy, are you sure it’s not because you’re too shy to

call her?”

“Why would I be shy? Here, use this phone.”

Neil took the phone, looking quite unwilling. He dialed Clarissa’s number; he had memorized it since

the time he had called her.

After a while, the beeping tone faded and Clarissa picked up the call.

“Mommy…” Neil said in a soft tone.

At the sound of his voice, Clarissa’s mood immediately soared. “Neil! Is everything okay?”

“Mommy, when will your meeting end?” Neil asked sweetly, tilting his head to the side.

“Tomorrow evening,” Clarissa answered.

“Put him on speaker, Miss Johnson! We wanna hear his cute voice too!” Her students were squealing

excitedly in the background.

Clarissa had no choice but to put Neil on speaker.

“What are your plans after your meeting finishes, Mommy?”

“Mommy’s planning on going back to school.” Clarissa’s tone softened when she spoke to Neil.

“So, are you still coming? Didn’t you say you’d stay with me?” Neil’s voice grew smaller. He was clearly

unhappy.

“Oh…” Clarissa knew all too well how fragile trust could be. She couldn’t afford, nor did she have the

heart, to break Neil’s trust in her.

“I’ll have Mrs. Faber clean up three rooms for you, okay, Mommy? Just come with your students.”

“Oh, are we invited too? Will we be disturbing your family? Thanks so much, Neil!” Lisa sounded

ecstatic.

“Not at all! I’m alone most of the time, so it’ll be fun to have more people over. Come quickly, okay?”

Without waiting for Clarissa’s answer, Neil hung up immediately.

He was afraid Clarissa would find more excuses to reject him again.

“Come on, Miss Johnson! Let’s go tomorrow. Neil definitely misses you a lot! Don’t worry about Mr.

Lawrence. It’s definitely his idea to have Neil call you. There’s no way a child his age could memorize

your phone number,” Lisa said.

“Alright...” Clarissa sighed.

The next day, the three of them went to Damien’s house.

Surprisingly, Damien wasn’t there.

Neil was on cloud nine when he saw Clarissa.

Mrs. Faber couldn’t help but stare at Clarissa as well.

Things were different back then, as compared to now. None of them mentioned anything about Caleb.

Clarissa’s two students didn’t know that Mrs. Faber was Caleb’s mother, and they were instead

attracted by Damien’s house.

Mrs. Faber led the two students to their respective rooms, but Clarissa didn’t get any.

“Where am I staying?” Clarissa asked, confused.

“Mr. Lawrence said you’ll be staying in the same room as him.”

Clarissa fell silent, not knowing what to say.

Rem and Lisa pretended not to hear anything and left for their rooms.

Clarissa pulled Mrs. Faber to the side and asked, “The same room, even after we’ve divorced?”

“Yes, that’s what Mr. Lawrence ordered. He didn’t ask me to arrange a room for you. You can discuss it

with him again once he’s back,” Mrs. Faber said.

Clarissa had no choice but to wait.

Two hours later, Damien finally returned. There was a cloud of gloom on his face, and he looked

slightly angry.
