Chapter 472 Don’t Miss Out on My Rich and Handsome Daddy

Peter had come here on Cindy’s orders, with the objective of driving Clarissa and Damien further apart.

Alas, it seemed he ended up reuniting Neil with his mother. He hadn’t wanted to do this in the first

place, but he was a weak and timid man. Cindy had threatened to cut off his allowance and kick him

out of their house if he didn’t do as she ordered, and beggars couldn’t be choosers. It just so happened

that he wanted to see Clarissa as well, so he agreed.

“Since your student’s here, I’ll get going,” he said. “I’ll leave these photos for you.”

After that, he left.

Cindy was waiting for him anxiously downstairs.

When she saw him walking toward her, she asked, “How did it go?”

“Uh, pretty well.” Peter knew he couldn’t afford to anger Cindy. He didn’t mention anything about Neil

finding out Clarissa was his mother. Instead, he said, “One of her students, Caleb Mckenny, came to

drop off some eggs on behalf of a classmate.”

“Really?” Cindy was delighted to hear this. She knew Clarissa would eventually give in to Caleb if he

was constantly around her. “Don’t you dare say a word about this to Connie. That silly girl’s interested

in Caleb!”

“Connie’s interested in Caleb?” Peter tried to recall what Caleb looked like. He seemed to be a tall,

handsome, healthy-looking chap. If he was still a student, he had to be a few years younger than

Connie. “She’s got a pretty good eye.”

Cindy rolled her eyes. “Nonsense! You don’t even know how close Connie is to getting a role as a

female lead!”

“Don’t we already have enough money? How much more do you want? Aren’t our lives much better

now compared to when we were back in Pentatone County?”

Cindy ignored Peter. She wished she could switch him as well.

He was a good-for-nothing!

……

“Mommy, Mommy! Hurry and make the custard tarts for me,” Neil called. He was overjoyed.

Clarissa couldn’t possibly tell him to stop calling her that. Since things had already turned out this way,

they would just have to deal with it one step at a time.

Moreover, Neil was deliberately doing this because Caleb was present. He could tell that Caleb was

interested in Clarissa.

As expected, Caleb clenched his fists tightly when he heard Neil calling her “Mommy”.

No matter how conflicted he felt, he knew the Clarissa he liked was in love with Damien.

“Neil, do you know that Clarissa’s your mother now?” Caleb squatted down before Neil and held the

little boy’s hands.

“I just found out.”

“Since you know now, you have to listen to her, okay? She loves you very much.” Caleb pinched Neil

lightly.

Neil saw the gentle expression on Caleb’s face, and felt that his earlier behavior had been a little

hurtful.

He called Caleb gently.

“I have to get going.” After that, Caleb rubbed Neil on the head and left.

Clarissa was still standing there, looking dazed.

Neil looked at her.

“Are you my mommy? I’m so glad to have such a pretty and rich mom! Why did you and Daddy get

divorced? I swear there haven't been any other women in Daddy’s life over the past three years.” He

held a hand up to show his seriousness.

Clarissa laughed. “You’re just a kid. What do you know?”

“Whatever it is, my daddy’s handsome and rich. You don’t want to miss out on him!” Neil’s eyes

gleamed mischievously.

After a while, he seemed to suddenly realize that having a mother was something to be proud of. He

hugged her tightly and mumbled, “Mommy.”

Clarissa’s tears rolled down her cheeks.

It turned out this was all she needed to cure her. The gaping hole in her heart had been filled by a
