Chapter 459 You Must Hate Me, Huh?

Clarissa knocked on the door. A child’s voice rang out from behind it.

“Who is it?” he asked.

“It’s me, the pretty lady from before. I’m here to give you something.” She wondered why Neil was

alone at home.

“Hold on just a second!”

She was afraid something would happen to Neil, so she waited there anxiously.

Neil ran to the bathroom and knocked on the door.

“Daddy, the pretty lady’s here! Are you done bathing?”

Damien stilled. Clarissa was here?

“Hold on, I’ll be right there.”

“Daddy! You need to show off your charms, okay?”

After coming out of the bathroom, Damien said to Neil, “You should go to bed now.”

Neil made an OK sign. “I know you want some alone time with the pretty lady. You have to win her over

before someone else gets her, okay? I know you can do it!”

“Little brat.”

Shortly after that, Damien opened the door for Clarissa.

She was greeted by a heart-stopping scene. He only had a towel wrapped around his waist, and he

looked extremely seductive. The sight almost made her salivate.

“Come in.” He was drying his hair.

“Where’s Neil? Didn’t he answer me earlier?” Clarissa glanced around, trying to spot Neil. She couldn’t

help feeling disappointed when she didn’t see him.

“He’s gone to bed. I was bathing and didn’t hear you.”

She didn’t dare to look at him directly. She put the toy car down and said, “Lily bought this for Neil. I

came to give it to him.”

“Why’d you come at night?” Damien asked, seemingly nonchalantly.

Clarissa paused.

She happened to come while he was bathing, too. Did he think that she was up to something?

“I just got back, and I was afraid that I’d forget about it tomorrow. That’s why I came here immediately.”

In truth, Clarissa was afraid that she was too obvious a target in the day.

“Don’t you have anything to ask me?” Damien sat down and made himself comfortable.

He almost spread his legs and allowed Clarissa to see something inappropriate.

He was still drying his hair leisurely, though.

“What do I have to ask?” She was confused as she truly didn’t know what she could ask.

Damien figured she would want to ask him about Lucy.

His hand stilled. “I guess there really is nothing to ask. Have you made things clear to him already?”

“Who?”

“Your admirer.”

“Yeah. I had Mrs. Faber come here, and Caleb gets it now.”

Damien suddenly raised his head and stared at her. “You must feel pretty upset that your wonderful

relationship had to be broken up like this.”

“I’ve never felt that way! I didn’t even expect something like this to happen the moment I started here.”

Clarissa looked grave. She was definitely more oppressive than before.

“He’s a young basketball player who’s good in bed. Isn’t he exactly your type?” he asked frivolously.

Clarissa turned away. “I’m not as bored as you are, with nowhere to vent your frustrations.”

She was secretly insinuating the fact he had gotten Lucy pregnant.

“I’ll have to correct you there. There’s no one here for me to vent my frustrations.”

Her chest heaved when she spoke, and Damien was distracted by this for just an instant.

He stood up to conceal his arousal and tipped her chin up.

“You must hate me, huh?” He narrowed his eyes.

“That’s not the only thing that I hate you for!” She had just visited Theresa’s grave earlier that day.

From the moment Theresa died, there was no way their relationship could ever be the same.

Damien guessed that Clarissa already knew about Lucy’s child. Lucy had to be targeting Clarissa by

doing this, making Clarissa leave for three years.

But he didn’t want to mention a thing about this matter at the moment. Someone would take care of it

for him.novelbin

Damien’s phone kept chiming. It was probably from his assistant, or perhaps Madelynn.

He ignored it.
