Love In Twilight By Tiny Mountains Chapter 387

Chapter 387 I Lose Clarissa looked around her room as well before blurting out, “All scholars have to

live in poor conditions. If one lives in a luxurious environment, it‘s easy to forget one‘s purpose.

Grandpa‘s house was decorated plainly as well, and he was a renowned scholar. Yonah‘s living here

too, because it‘s close to where she works. None of us think there‘s anything wrong with this place.”

With just a few sentences, she made Damien change his impression of her.

He slowly walked toward her.

Clarissa’s heart started to race. She had a few drinks before, and now that her blood was pounding

through her veins, it quickly made her face turn red.

“What are you afraid of?” Damien asked. “Afraid? What could I possibly be afraid of?” Clarissa put up a

relaxed front. She then walked over to the window and hurriedly drew the curtains. She was afraid Mr.

Black Suit and his men would catch wind of this, and do something bad to both Damien and Neil.

“Drawing the curtains at this hour? Are you in such a hurry?” Damien‘s tone was flirtatious. He knew

exactly why she had drawn the curtains. Someone was watching her.

The room wasn’t big. When Clarissa walked past Damien after drawing the curtains, he sniffed.

“Did you have alcohol?” he asked.

“Yeah.” She sat down on the bed, feeling tired.

“Who did you go drinking with?”novelbin

“A friend. You…” She wanted to say that he didn‘t know her, but it occurred to her that Damien did

indeed know Chanel. However, she didn‘t want to let him know that Chanel was in Emmeria as well.

“Was it a man or a woman?” As Damien spoke, he looked around her room.

“A woman. Why are you in Emmeria?” Clarissa asked.

“Because I missed you.” He finally finished looking around the room. There were no signs of another

man having been here, and there were notes scribbled all over her books. It was obvious she had

indeed been busy studying.

Clarissa blushed

“Why didn‘t you come home for Christmas?” He sat down on the bed next to her.

“I was busy studying.”

“You had the time to go drinking with someone, but you didn‘t have the time to come home to see your

son?” Damien‘s tone was of displeasure.

Clarissa knew she was in the wrong here, so she scooted inward.

“Iris Benson is the person who‘s out to get you, and I‘ve removed this obstacle. You can go home

whenever you want from now on. There‘s nothing to worry about.”

This immediately caught her attention. She sat up straight, looking like she had been shocked. “How...

How did you know about that?”

Damien watched her and smiled faintly. “I guess it’s true, then. I thought you were heartless enough to

abandon your husband and child.”

“I said, how did you find out that she‘s the one after me? There‘s no bad blood between us, so why

would she want to get revenge on me?” Clarissa was lost. She thought about the time she saw Iris at

Reign Hotel. With an outstanding appearance and aura, it was hard to believe that such a goddess–like

existence could be so rotten on the inside.

**I had someone look into it, and I’ve already given her a warning.” Clarissa‘s heart raced. She was still

taken aback. At this moment, she felt like something that had seemed impossibly difficult to her meant

nothing to Damien.

Now, she was starting to regret her actions. She felt so stupid. Why had she just made the decision to

come to Emmeria after listening to Mr. Black Suit? Though she had always wanted to come to Emmeria

to study, and though Damien had never agreed to it, at the very least things wouldn‘t be the way they

were now. Moreover, Clarissa felt like she had underestimated Damien‘s influence. All she could think

of at that moment was that if they could make Damien lose ten million dollars, they could naturally hurt

him in other ways as well.

“Did you leave the country because of me?” He looked her in the eye.

Clarissa‘s eyes darted around the room, and she said in a low voice, “Don‘t be such a narcissist. I‘ve

always wanted to come to Emmeria to study, but you were always against it. Anyway, you‘re the one

who won‘t let me go back!”

“Well, you can now. I lose,” Damien said.

“I want to see Neil. I want to have a video call with him!” Clarissa immediately laid down a request.

At this inoment, someone knocked on her room door.
