Chapter 385 Clarissa’s the Illegitimate Child

Five days later, Damien‘s assistant gave him the number Lucy had called the most. He also gave

Damien the multipurpose vehicle‘s car plate number.

Both the phone number and the car plate number belonged to the same person, but it was obvious that

this person was only a lackey. The person behind him was the true mastermind – Iris Benson

“Iris Benson?” Damien was shocked by this new discovery.

“Looks like I‘ll have to meet her.” Damien then asked, “Is she still in Merania?”

In truth, he was happy they had managed to dig Iris up. At least Clarissa hadn‘t suddenly decided to go

to Emmeria for no reason. She cared about him and Neil, but she had been forced to leave because of

them threatening her, resulting in Damien misunderstanding her for a very long time.

There was also a chance Clarissa wanted to lead the danger away from him and Neil. After all, the

failed investment in Landon‘s company had frightened her.

Plus, Manor of the Marquis was one of the films that Iris was the main producer of.

Everything matched up.

The next day, Damien showed up outside Iris‘s presidential suite at Reign Hotel. She had just finished

putting on her makeup. When she opened the door, it was to find him standing there.

This was Damien‘s first time seeing the renowned Iris Benson.

“You‘re here, President Lawrence? Come in.” She made him a cup of Earl Grey tea, looking calm and

unperturbed by his sudden appearance. “I don‘t know what sort of tea you like, but I like this. You‘re

going to have to adapt to my tastes.”

Damien took a sip of the tea, He knew she wasn‘t someone to be trifled with, of course. “I expected this

day to come, but I didn‘t expect it to be so soon. You and Clarissa don‘t seem to have as bitter a

relationship as she made it out to be.” Iris sounded like she was joking.

“Is that what she said?” Damien asked, “Yes. Should I let you listen to the recording?” Iris started to

rummage around her bag

“No, there‘s no need. She went to so much trouble to stop you from making things hard for me I didn‘t

know before, but now that I do, I‘d like to see you try to harm anyone that‘s under my wings ever again.

I‘m insured for a lot of money, and I‘ll make sure the police come after you first is something were to

happen to me, whether in terms of financial losses or physical harm. What do you think about that?”

Damien leaned toward her. “Or perhaps, I can get the media to keep a record of everything that you‘ve

done?”

A grimace flitted across Iris’s face. She leaned back, still holding onto her teacup. She stared at it.
