Love In Twilight By Tiny Mountains Chapter 324

Chapter 324 The Baby Girl Is In Bad Condition Though Madelynn wasn‘t the real perpetrator, she still

pretended to be one in hopes she could send Clarissa into a breakdown. Just as she had planned,

Clarissa was shaking uncontrollably.

Madelynn let out a derisive chuckle before leaving, proud of her work.

Clarissa felt horrible. Without realizing it, her stomach began to hurt terribly.

She had no idea what actually was the truth. It could be Madelynn, or perhaps Damien. But as

Madelynn admitted to the crime herself, Clarissa ultimately chose to trust in Madelynn‘s confession.

She had her hands over her stomach, clutching it, and leaned weakly on the table.

“Madam! Is everything okay?” Mrs. Faber asked as soon as she returned from shopping. She was

shocked to see Clarissa in such a state. “I‘m fine,” Clarissa mumbled weakly, though her forehead was

bathed with sweat. A panicky Mrs. Faber called Leah immediately. “It‘s fine... I‘ll go to the hospital

myself,” Clarissa stopped her.novelbin

“No! You have to listen to me this time.”

Soon, Leah arrived. Mrs. Faber helped Clarissa into the car.

Mrs. Faber then called Damien.

“Mr. Lawrence! Madam isn’t doing so well now, and her stomach was hurting in the coffee shop. It‘d be

great if you could head to the hospital she‘s going to right now.”

When they reached the hospital, Clarissa‘s face was deathly pale. “What happened?” Bethany was

startled. Damien arrived just as Bethany was studying the report. He was standing behind Clarissa.

“What‘s going on? Your mood swings are all over the place, and that‘s unhealthy for the baby. You can‘t

go on like this, Clarissa.” Bethany‘s concern was evident. “Which baby?”

“The girl.”

Clarissa repeated quietly, “The girl...?”

She loved that baby the most. She had always wanted a daughter.

“I‘ll give you some medication. You need to rest and make sure to stabilise your mood.” Bethany then

turned to Damien and chided him, “And what‘s with you, President Lawrence?! What happened today

must be related to you right?”

“It‘s all my fault.” Damien said, holding Clarissa‘s shoulder firmly.

“You better watch it!” Bethany warned crossly. Damien got into the car with Clarissa, and Mrs. Faber

went to the passenger seat. “What happened?” Damien touched Clarissa‘s forehead. However,

Clarissa dodged his hand and looked out the window, ignoring him.

Since they were outside at the moment, Damien couldn‘t do much.

After they got home, Clarissa went straight to bed.

Damien sat on the side of the bed and touched her hair.

“What happened?” Damien repeated.

“I‘m tired. Please let me rest, President Lawrence,” Clarissa spat coldly.

Clarissa then closed both her eyes.

Damien stood up and ordered his assistant to get the footage from the coffee shop. “There‘s no need to

trouble other people. Madelynn came and told me she was the culprit.” “And you believed her?‘ “Yes!

So what? I‘m just baffled you‘d help someone like her.” Clarissa covered her entire body with a blanket

and started crying. “You can help her however you want. You‘re in a relationship, and I know it! I never

expected anything from you, anyway. I just felt bad for my grandmother...”

Upon seeing her cry, Damien left the room.

He saw Mrs. Faber coming out of the kitchen, and glared daggers at her. “Didn‘t I tell you to stay with

her?! Why didn‘t you?”

“Mr. Lawrence...” Mrs. Faber couldn‘t help but feel wronged. How could she have predicted Madelynn

to approach Clarissa? Plus, she didn‘t want Clarissa to follow her around in such a crowded

supermarket. “Enough! I‘m heading out.” Damien stormed out of the place.

Mrs. Faber then brought the medicine into Clarissa’s room.

“Madam, it‘s time to take your medicine.” Bethany had mentioned that the female baby was in bad

condition, so Clarissa needed proper medication to stabilise her condition. “Okay, I will,” Clarissa said

quickly.

“Where’s Damien?” Clarissa realized that the living room was unusually quiet.

“Mr Lawrence? He went out. It‘s probably because of work, so don’t worry about it,” Mrs. Faber said.
