Love In Twilight By Tiny Mountains Chapter 321

Chapter 321 You Guys Have No Idea Clarissa took the report from Damien.

She sneered as she read it. Her reaction was similar to his when he read it earlier.

After that, she continued folding the baby clothes without saying anything.

“What is it?” Damien asked.

“Nothing. So be it.” Privately she thought, “Damien’s a powerful man. He can do anything he wants. He

could even cover up my mother’s death without lifting a finger.‘

Clarissa knew she couldn‘t beat him.

If he insisted on helping Madelynn, then so be it. After all, the two had known each other for a very long

time. “I‘m pregnant now, so I can‘t help much. I might stop going to the company starting tomorrow. I‘ve

finished the accounts for Arisona Construction, so help me pass them to Janet tomorrow.” Having saidnovelbin

that, Clarissa dumped a pile of documents on Damien.

Damien was quick to notice something about her was amiss. “I‘m not helping her on purpose.” “It‘s fine.

I never asked you to help me to get revenge. I just feel uncomfortable and I think it‘s unfair.” Clarissa

lifted her gaze and stared at Damien right in the eyes. “There’s no need to explain yourself to me.”

“Clarissa!” Damien was angered by Clarissa’s attitude.

“Anything else?” Clarissa responded.

Her casual indifference left Damien speechless. During dinner, Clarissa still ate with him as if nothing

happened. However, she was less talkative than usual.

When Damien wanted to do something else at night, Clarissa just lay on the bed like a log.

“The baby is yours and if anything happens, I‘ll be in a lot of physical pain. Would you feel anything

about that?” Clarissa said coldly.

All of Damien’s interest was immediately lost.

On the second day, Damien told Mrs. Faber to look after Clarissa.

“Don’t worry, Mr. Lawrence. With me here, nothing will happen.”

Clarissa looked and acted normal when she woke up.

The yoga practice she used to do in the office had to be moved back home.

But her mood was terribly off in the afternoon, and she told Mrs. Faber that she wanted to have a drink

at the coffee shop outside.

Mrs Faber agreed

She sat at her usual window spot and looked at the cars passing by. A message notification popped up.

(Are you free today, Clarissa? Can I meet up with you? I‘ll bring Rebecca with me too.)

It was Joseph.

He probably didn‘t want Damien to misunderstand, and so brought Rebecca with him.

“I‘m at the coffee shop near my house,” Clarissa replied,

Both of them appeared after thirty minutes.

Rebecca was shocked at the sight of Clarissa’s stomach. “Your stomach‘s huge, Clarissa! It‘s kind of

scary, though,” Rebecca said. Clarissa chuckled. “What brings you two here?”

“Can‘t we come because we miss you?” Rebecca said. Mrs. Faber would stay if only Joseph came, but

now that Rebecca was here, Mrs. Faber thought it was only appropriate for her to give them some

privacy. The reason Joseph came was because his mother told him that the babies were Damien‘s.

She had then warned him not to be in contact with Clarissa anymore. He didn‘t understand what his

mother was saying, and decided to pay Clarissa a visit. At the same time, he didn‘t want Damien to

misunderstand. Thus, he brought Rebecca with him.

Rebecca also learnt that the babies were Damien’s.

“Why do you look unhappy? You‘re going to have twins soon!” Rebecca and Joseph ordered a latte

each.

“My grandmother just passed away, and it‘s taking a toll on me.” Clarissa held her head miserably. “I

heard about it from Luke,” Joseph said. “My condolences, but your grandmother lived a good life.”

Clarissa let out a sigh. “You have no idea...”
