She was pregnant with twins, and it was already showing.

audit for Eternal Designs. It was a large project, and it would be enough to keep her busy for a long

time.

Rebecca mentioned that the finance director for Eternal Designs was a classmate of hers, and they

had agreed that Clarissa could contact him directly.

On this day, she called him.

“Hello, President Fenwick. I’m a colleague of Rebecca’s, and she was the one who told me to

contact you about the audit. When would be a good time for me to collect the documents from your

company?” Clarissa was a partner now, and aside from providing her expertise, she was also in charge

This audit was supposed to be First’s earliest project. If New East Corporation snatched this from them,

it was possible that their potential clients would choose to work with New East instead of First. If things

were to go on like this, they would have to wind up the firm.

Clarissa wasn’t being paid a fixed salary now, so she had to bear the firm’s losses.

And since when had Damien started bringing in clients on his own?

Was there any chance for her to survive if she had to compete with him?

When Joseph walked past Clarissa’s office and saw her fuming, he asked her what had happened. She

told him everything.

to make it out of this unscathed if Damien was involved.

he was close to closing a deal, Damien would snatch it away from them.

New East Corporation was well established, and its audit department was renowned in Genovia.

Naturally, people would want to work with them compared to a newer, smaller firm.

By the end of the year, First had yet to bring in a single project, and Clarissa hadn’t earned a single

penny. It looked like she was going to have to survive on her savings.

She knew Damien was doing this to get at her. Now, she was truly infuriated. Even if Damien hadn’t

come for her, she would’ve gone after him.

He had killed her mother. What right did he have to force her into a dead end?
