Damien had taken a long time to settle his emotions after Grandpa Lawrence‘s death

day under his watch. Though he had knelt down in front of others for Patrick’s sale, it was all in the

past.

Damien’s assistant came to his office.

“President Lawrence, Joseph Moore is back in the country. He had a lot of luggage with him, so it looks

like he probably won’t be returning to Emmeria. It’s just that…” The assistant hesitated.

“What is it?”

“It’s just that Madam came back with him. It looks like she went to an obstetrics and gynecology

hospital today for her antenatal checkup,” the assistant said. Damien smiled coldly. They had returned

together?

take care of her now that she was pregnant. Joseph was worried about her. Because she and Joseph

were going to start their own firm, she hadn’t found herself another job. Anyway, most companies

wouldn’t want to hire a pregnant woman.

“How are you? Did you go through with it?” Joseph asked.

“That’s out of the question. I’m having twins.” Clarissa still couldn’t help feeling mad that she was

pregnant.

“Twins?” He was surprised. “Well, then… haven’t you ever thought of finding them a father?”

He watched her eagerly.

This was something that Clarissa truly hadn’t thought of. After all, the pregnancy was an accident.

“1…” She was hesitant to say anything.

She had never liked anyone other than Damien, so Joseph’s question was not within her expectation.

“Since you haven’t decided, let’s talk about something else. I’ve found an office for our firm; it’s right

above Great West. The whole floor is ours, and I already have people taking care of the procedures.

We already have a client network, and once we merge with Great West, we’ll have even more

business. Why don’t you pick out a name?” Joseph asked.

“How about the name that I mentioned to you last time? Did you see it?”

“Last time?” Clarissa was surprised. When was this?

The last time she and Joseph had texted, she had fallen asleep without reading the messages. This

was followed by Grandpa Lawrence being hospitalized and his subsequent death. Clarissa had been
