Love In Twilight By Tiny Mountains Chapter 215

Chapter 215 My Mother Fell Off A Building, Didn’t She When Clarissa regained consciousness,

Damien was by her side. She was lying on the bed in their bedroom. The pillow under her head was

soaked through. Slowly, she recalled what had happened before she had fainted.

Clarissa didn’t know just how long she’d been unconscious.

Everything felt like a dream.

“I need to call my mom.” She felt around for her phone, but to no avail. It wasn’t there. She had to see

whether her mother was around. Theresa had to be around. She would ask Clarissa to go home for a

nice meal… After searching desperately, Clarissa still couldn’t find her phone.

“Can… Can I use your phone for a bit?” Clarissa looked pleadingly at Damien. “I want to know what mynovelbin

mom’s doing at home.” “Clarissa.” Damien’s voice was soft. “Don’t do this.”

“… I just want to call my mom. What’s wrong with that? How is it overboard for me to call my mom?”

She was smiling, but she didn’t realize that her face was streaked with tears.

She looked pitiful.

“Get some rest.”

“My mom’s at home and she’s fine, isn’t she?” Clarissa looked at Damien tearfully.

Theresa was dead, and Clarissa seemed to have lost her mind.

She had only had a short glimpse of that day’s events, but the scene was etched vividly into her mind.

However, she firmly believed that it was only a dream. It had to be a dream.

Why would her mother fall from such a high place for no reason?

Furthermore, how could two people from the same family both fall from high places? That had

happened to Steven, and there was no way it would happen to Theresa. There was just no way. Also,

Theresa was busy with Luke’s place. Why had she suddenly fallen off the building? It was impossible!

“My mom’s at home, right?” Clarissa suddenly shrieked, grabbing hold of Damien’s arm.

“Yes, she’s fine. Lie down and get some rest. I’ll handle the rest of the things.”

Clarissa felt like there was something wrong with her. She couldn’t breathe.

“Where… Where were you on that day?” she asked again, confused. “Which day?” “The day I went to

Universal Gardens. Were you there? I think… I think I saw you.” Clarissa wished that this was all a

dream. Everything that had happened wasn’t real. It couldn’t be!

“I was at the company,” Damien replied curtly.

She let out a sigh of relief. “Right, right. I knew it was a dream. Let me call my mom.”

“Okay. Get some rest first.” She put Damien’s arm in front of her chest, and then fell asleep.

She didn’t know she had already been unconscious for three days.

For the past three days, Clarissa had mumbled feverishly and dreamed constantly. She had dreamed

of her childhood, when Theresa had bought her new clothes, and how Theresa had chased Luke

around to give him a beating. She had also dreamed about Theresa praising her for her stellar results.

She also dreamed about her cooking for Steven on a rainy day. Theresa was patching up her satchel,

and Steven came back drenched because he hadn’t used an umbrella. When he came into the house,

Clarissa had chided him, “Dad! You didn’t use an umbrella again! I’m going to get mad for real this

time.”.

In her dream, she had said these words out loud, but in reality, she had only been mumbling

incoherently. One’s heart ached at her constantly calling out for Theresa.

Clarissa only managed to doze off for a short while. Eventually, she woke up feeling hungry. “I’m

hungry,” she said to Damien. “I’ll ask Mrs. Faber to make you something.” He went downstairs. Clarissa

got out of bed and looked around for her phone, but she couldn’t find it anywhere.

Why wasn’t there a single phone in the room? “What are you looking for?” Damien came back in and

frowned at her. “My phone.” She felt like her brain had been emptied out of all its contents. As she

spoke, her tears continued to flow. It was as if she had lost her soul.

“Didn’t you want to eat and then get some rest?” Damien asked. “You can look for it after eating.”

“Okay.” She asked blankly, “What did Mrs. Faber make for me?” “I don’t know. We’ll have to wait and

see.” He sat down next to her, sounding calm.

Mrs. Faber came upstairs with the food. She brought a bowl of soup and some eggs without the yolk.

“Mrs. Faber, do you know how to make spaghetti? The type with meatballs. If you do, I’ll invite my mom

over one day so she can have some too.” Clarissa looked at Mrs. Faber expectantly.

“Huh?” Mrs. Faber was surprised. She looked at Clarissa and said, “Madam, you should have some

soup first. You haven’t eaten for days.”

Damien shot Mrs. Faber a reprimanding look. It was obvious that he was telling her she had said the

wrong thing. Initially, Mrs. Faber had wanted to make spaghetti for Clarissa. However, Damien forbade

her.

Mrs. Faber sensed that she had made a huge mistake and hurriedly said, “I’ll head downstairs first.”

“I’ve been asleep for several days, haven’t I?” Clarissa asked Damien. She was starting to return to her

senses. Since she had been asleep for some time, it meant that the events of that day weren’t a

dream. It had… It had happened for real. “It hasn’t been too long.” “Give me my phone! I want to call

my mom!” Clarissa held a hand out for her phone. If everything was fine, he wouldn’t have confiscated

her phone. “Have something to eat first.” “Where are your parents?!” she asked.

“I had them return to Amestris.”

Clarissa was starting to grow upset. “Why did they go back to Amestris?! What happened?” “They were

only causing trouble here!” “I want to make a call!” She raised her voice.

The veins around her temples were bulging. “No!” Damien frowned. “Your phone isn’t here.” “I want to

make a call!” Clarissa jumped out of bed, furious. “My mother fell off a building, didn’t she?! Why were

you upstairs on that day? What were you doing there? She didn’t have any reason to take her life. You

must’ve seen how she fell! Tell me! Tell me!!!”

Her voice was hoarse from crying, and she was shouting at the top of her lungs.
