Chapter 205 Did Damien Sign? Damien glanced at Clarissa before picking up his phone. As he dialed

Luke‘s number, his eyes didn‘t leave her.

Clarissa thought, ‘Looks like Damien‘s going to pay for this one. He might even pay more just to shut

Madelynn up. But that‘ll just make Luke greedier!‘ The call connected, and Damien put it on

speakerphone.

“Damien!” Luke greeted. When Clarissa heard Luke‘s voice, she could already imagine his flattering

face.

“You‘re getting engaged?”

“Yeah! I mean, yes. Did Clarissa tell you about it?” Luke asked.

“Yes. What does Emily want?”

“She wants five hundred thousand dollars as security, and...”

Clarissa narrated the whole story to him. She explained why she didn‘t bring up Connie and the threat

earlier on. She was afraid that he would lose himself to wrath and call the cops.

“Connie is my uncle‘s last support. She didn‘t hurt me. Please don‘t call the police,” Clarissa pleaded.

“Fine. I won‘t call the police.” Damien stroked Clarissa‘s hair, smiling. However, his eyes turned grim.

He wouldn‘t call the police, but he would let Madelynn and Connie hurt each other deeply!

At least one of them must die for him to be satisfied.

“What happened to my dumplings?” Damien asked. “Didn’t you promise to make dumplings for me for

the rest of my life last night?” “Haven‘t you eaten? I thought you finished them,” Clarissa said,

confused. “You didn‘t make them, so I didn‘t,” he said.

“How about tomorrow? It‘s Saturday tomorrow. I‘ll make them for you at home.”

Damien said nothing, but his anger finally faded.

What Clarissa didn‘t know was Vanessa was the one who made the dumplings. Yet, Damien

didn‘t even join the meal with them.

Vanessa returned to her room alone, feeling sad. Patrick was angry at Damien as well, but he knew he

had no right to be angry. All he could do was comfort his wife.

When Madelynn got in the car, Connie asked, “Did Damien sign it?”

Slap! A loud slap sounded as Madelynn hurled her palm across Connie‘s face. She hissed, “Did you

know that Luke‘s getting engaged?!” “Luke‘s getting engaged? I...I didn‘t know.” Connie looked

confused. “You don‘t know. You know nothing! What else do you know other than saying I don‘t know?

Maybe Clarissa didn‘t know how she‘s going to ask Damien for money. Great! We ended up helping

her! If you want to work with me, do it properly! If not, get lost!” Madelynn snapped.

Connie had never received so much scolding. It was mortifying! It seemed she wouldn‘t be able to turn

her life around unless Clarissa was dead.

They had been well–prepared this time. Connie made her preparations in advance, and told her mother

about Peter‘s leg and atrophy. She had her mother pass the message to Theresa, for they knew

Theresa would talk to Clarissa about it.

As a result, Clarissa would become soft–hearted and forgive Connie. After all, Clarissa had always

listened to Theresa.

They got Clarissa‘s signed divorce paper in advance to let Damien see that his little wife wanted to
