“Mr. Young, don’t go too far. I’ll be the wife of the president of the Taylor Group.” Ann glared at Edwinangrily. She wasn’t gentle anymore and looked at Mr. Young arrogantly. The former secretary neverdared to block her way. But ever since Edwin became the secretary, he had repeatedly stopped her fromseeing Frank. Judith was surprised. She thought, “She’s Frank’s fiancée?” Edwin narrowed his sharpeyes and said clearly, “Miss Chaney, I said that you can also talk to me like this when you become thewife of the wife of the president of the Taylor Group. It’s almost time for the meeting. Please come afterthe meeting if you want to see Mr. Taylor.” “Edwin, let’s wait and see. When I see Frank, i’ll tell him thatyou…” “What are you arquing about?”
Behind Judith, an emotionless voice was cold enough to freeze people. Judith couldn’t help turning tolook behind her. She was stunned. He was the cool man that she had saved yesterday. Sheremembered that and he hadn’t even thanked her.
He seemed to think that she had ulterior motives.
What a coincidence! The man behind walked towards them with elegant steps. He was in black andwhite, which was simple but attractive. His thick black hair made his facial features even deeper. Theband-aid on his forehead didn’t reduce his handsomeness at all. His deep eyes were filled withruthlessness and his thin lips were tightly pursed. He was very angry. Judith was sure that the charmingman was the man she had saved yesterday. She wondered why he was here.
Behind him was a handsome man in a suit. It was Gary. He was observing Judith with curiosity. The coldman, Frank also saw Judith. He gave sinister smile and wondered if Judith was playing cat and mousewith him. She came to his company today. Judith was instantly dumbfounded when she looked at Frank’sevil smile. She wondered if Frank was the president of the Taylor Group. No wonder she felt that helooked familiar yesterday. Judith felt at a loss. Frank seemed to have malicious intent with his playfulnovelbin
gaze and the sinister smile. Ann felt a sense of crisis when she saw that Frank had been staring atJudith. She hurried to approach Frank with her big eyes filled with grievance. She complainedcoquettishly, “Frank, here you come. Mr. Young didn’t allow me to see you.” Frank took a few steps backand asked with a gloomy face. “Why are you here?” He said indifferently with no emotion, Ann looked atFrank’s gloomy face and her heart sank. However, she still smiled gently. “Frank, Mom and Dad askedme to invite you to have dinner at the Chaney’s. Mom said that she misses you since she hasn’t seenyou for a long time.” Frank said coldly, “Go back first. I will call Mr. Chaney later.” “You must cometonight. Your parents will come, too. Your mother said that it’s time to discuss our marriage.” Ann lookedat Edwin with a smug and provocative look after she finished her words.
