"Are you ready?" Michael Collins asked the man in black standing before him.
The man in black nodded, "Your subordinate is prepared!"
"Good," Michael Collins nodded with satisfaction. "Then go and act immediately! This time, I want tosee the bodies of Chris Shelby and his daughter."
"Yes!" Without further words, the man in black vanished into the darkness.
This man in black was the leader of the death soldiers, secretly trained by Michael Collins overmany years. Michael Collins had trained seven or eight death soldiers, and this man was theirleader.
"Chris Shelby, although I can't kill you and your wife, it doesn't mean I can't deal with you," MichaelCollins muttered.
"You killed my son, didn't you? Then I will kill your daughter, to let you taste the pain of losing achild!"
Haunting laughter followed his words as Michael Collins reveled in his dark plans, his sanity slippingfurther in his quest for vengeance. His devious mind now targeted Hope Shelby, Chris Shelby'sdaughter.
It was Friday - Hope's school day end and her return home. Chris Shelby drove to pick her uphimself, but at the same time, at Hope's kindergarten, disaster struck.
Seven or eight men in black, armed and dangerous, burst into the school. They stormed directly intoHope's classroom.
Hope's gentle teacher was horrified as she saw the menacing group. "Who are you people?" shedemanded, her face pale.
"Shut up!" One of the men, impatient and harsh, grabbed her. The teacher struggled and screamed,"What do you want? Let me go!"novelbin
"Keep yelling, and I'll kill you!" another man in black threatened, pressing a sharp dagger to herneck. Instantly, she fell silent.
"No time to waste, go grab Hope!" commanded the leader of the men in black, his face stern.
"Yes!" The others rushed into the classroom and seized Hope.
Meanwhile, Chris Shelby received a call while driving. "Chris Shelby, your daughter has beenkidnapped. If you want her to live, come to the kindergarten now!" The caller hung up immediately.
Chris Shelby's face turned grim. He had never anticipated such cruelty - that these maniacs wouldkidnap his daughter. Without hesitation, he slammed the accelerator, and the car roared towards thekindergarten.
Upon arriving, he found James Mester, the manager of the East Coast, had already secured thearea. However, they were too late - Hope had already been abducted.
"Mr. Shelby, I failed to protect Hope in time," James Mester admitted guiltily, facing scrutiny afterprevious incidents with the Byng family and Bull Parker.
"It's not about that now," snapped Chris Shelby, "What's the situation inside?"
James Mester hurriedly reported, "According to the intel, there are eight master level men in blackinside, armed with blades. They've taken a female teacher and about twenty to thirty studentshostage, including your daughter Hope..."
Chris Shelby frowned deeply, "How could this happen?"
"Because at the time of the assault, the students were all in class," explained James Mester, "Themen in black broke in and the whole class couldn't evacuate in time."
Listening to this, Chris Shelby's expression turned even darker; it wasn't just about Hope anymore.
Suddenly, an underling approached. "Mr. Shelby, the leader of the men in black wants to talk toyou."
"Alright," Chris Shelby nodded, walking over. Upon reaching, he saw the leader holding Hope atknifepoint by the window.
"Chris Shelby, come here, I have something to say!" the leader called out with a sinister tone. ChrisShelby approached, his face grim, "I am Chris Shelby, what do you want? I'll agree to anyconditions as long as you don't harm the hostages!"
"Ha, ha, ha!" The leader laughed maniacally, "Our only goal in kidnapping your daughter, ChrisShelby, is to kill you! If you want to save your daughter and the other students, trade your life fortheirs!"
Hearing this, Chris Shelby's pupils tightened. Michael Collins had truly lost all reason, using his owndaughter's life as leverage.
Chris Shelby maintained a calm expression, "I can agree, but you must release the others first. Thisis a matter between the Collins family and myself, it has nothing to do with my daughter or the otherstudents."
"Cut the crap!" The leader shouted, "You have no right to negotiate! You have three minutes, and ifyou haven't traded your life by then, not only will I kill your daughter, but I will kill everyone else aswell!"
After saying this, he vanished from the window with Hope still in his grasp. Chris Shelby'sexpression turned darker still. These were not ordinary kidnappers after wealth; they wanted his lifeand were driven by a fierce loyalty to Michael Collins. It seemed that in their hearts, they hadalready accepted their fate - whether they succeeded or not, they were walking a path from whichthere was no return.
