Skyler and Weston felt their hearts drop into a pit. It was clear that the flserpent's powers were all fire-based, and none of them would be able to survive an attack of the flames from its mouth.

Just then, Wilbur let out a chuckle as he pounced on the flserpent once again, fists at the ready.

The battle between man and serpent kicked up a cloud of sand and smoke in the valley, filling it with loud rumbles.
The flserpent had Sanctuary level powers and spiritual energy, but it had only recently developed a conscience. It did not even have its own spirit territory yet and thus was not too much of a threat.
Wilbur continued to advance as the battle continued. It was as if he had an unlimited supply of spiritual energy. The energy in his body was so strong that it was terrifying. Despite the flserpent's powerful defenses, it still fell victim to Wilbur's attacks and cried out in pain.
Within just a few minutes, the flserpent seemed to realize that it was fighting a losing battle. It stumbled over ten meters backward, retching and hissing. Its body was covered in injuries, and it seemed to be exhausted too.
Weston and Skyler could hardly contain their awe and respect toward Wilbur.
He had been able to defeat such a terrifying beast with nothing but his bare hands. That was something Weston could never do, let alone Skyler.
The flserpent, already on the losing end, began to puff up its belly all of a sudden. Its throat rippled as well, and a terrifyingly powerful spiritual pressure surged forth.
Weston and Skyler were shocked once more. Was there more to this serpent? Wilbur's expression darkened, and he stared the flserpent down. "Are you seriously trying to play dirty, you buffoon?" Right on cue, a fireball cout of the serpent's mouth.
It was only about the size of a basketball, but it burnt brightly. Symbols and seals hovered around the fireball, and it radiated a terrifying aura as it hurtled toward Wilbur at top speed.
Wilbur let out a loud roar, clenching his right fist tightly. It crackled with lightning and even seemed to let out a dragon's roar.

Flames erupted into the sky as an explosive boom cut through the air. However, the flserpent spat out four more fireballs in a row, all of them aimed at Wilbur.
Weston would not be able to take on the power of the fireballs unless he activated his spirit territory.
Yet all Wilbur did was let out a cry and threw a few more punches that shattered those fireballs completely. He rushed up to the serpent, ducking from its huge mouth to grab its tail, and flung the flserpent around.
The flserpent let out a hissing howl, and Wilbur slammed it onto the ground.
Deafening sounds rang through the air as the flserpent's body continued to writhe against the ground.
It was not long before the flserpent's pupils rolled back, and it went limp.
Weston and Skyler gasped at the sight. They had really underestimated Wilbur's powers.
