Chapter 243

Olivia did not go directly to Keyshire Property; instead, she and Thomas returned to Northpine Villa.Naturally, he had no objections. After all, he also needed to go back and prepare medicine for her.

Once they arrived at the villa, Olivia immediately headed for the bathroom. She already had a slightobsession with cleanliness, and after enduring the hardships at the hospital for several days, she couldnot stand it anymore.

Thomas, on the other hand, went to the kitchen to brew the herbal medicine. He had made up his mindthat in at most half a month, regardless of his physical condition, he would make a move against thethree families.

Even if his body had not reached its peak state, he had enough confidence to single-handedly takedown the three major families.novelbin

They dared to lay hands on Chloe in such a shameless manner? Fine! I’ll fight fire with fire.Assassinations, poisonings, gunfire—I have plenty of methods. Don’t think they won’t meet theirdemise!

The three families had no idea about his plans, so they would enjoy a peaceful half month. Once hishunting began, their demise was inevitable.

With Thomas’ extraordinary medical skills, poisoning someone was a piece of cake. Moreover, he stillhad the ultimate trump card he had not used yet—the day the King of Marksmen returned would markthe rebirth of Irieson.

Thomas was still unaware of the situation with Chloe’s mother’s ashes. Additionally, with two skilledprotectors sent by his brothers, he was not too worried.

On the other hand, Jake was fully armed and ready to face Thomas’ retaliation. He was surrounded byhighly skilled members of the Hind Family, confident that if Thomas dared to come knocking on hisdoor, he would have nowhere to hide.

Desperate times call for desperate measures. Jake’s style of action was no different from the long-goneMinacia Oito Irieson.

Thomas carried a bowl of freshly brewed herbal medicine into the living room, where Olivia had alreadyfinished showering and was sitting on the couch, watching TV.

“It’s time to take your medicine.” He handed her the bowl of herbal medicine.

Immediately, a look of bitterness appeared on her face. “Thomas, this medicine is so bitter…”

It was even worse than the medicine she had previously taken, which had a slightly sweet and sourtaste. This one was just plain bitterness.

Thomas could not do anything about it. Adding some rock sugar and hawthorn to the previous formulawas acceptable, but it would not work for the current medicine as it would compromise its efficacy.

“Be a good girl and drink it. Good medicine tastes bitter. It’s good for your body. Just hold on a littlelonger. You won’t have to drink it for too long,” he comforted her with kind words.

He did not want Olivia to drink medicine every day, but what choice did they have? If she did not treatherself, the frost poison within her would constantly backlash, and at that point, even divine interventionwould not be able to help.

“Fine.” She took the bowl of herbal medicine and drank it all at once.

Just then, the doorbell rang. She got up to answer the door, but as soon as she saw the personoutside, her expression turned exceptionally cold. Without saying a word, she made a gesture as if to

close the door.

“It’s me, Grandma! I’ve come to see you! Don’t you recognize your grandmother?” Leah pressed herhand against the door and teasingly smiled at Olivia.

“Don’t touch my door! I don’t know you. Please leave!” Olivia said coldly. She did not acknowledge heras her grandmother. Where was she when I was sad? Where was she when I was feeling wronged?Fine, if you weren’t there, I wouldn’t blame you too much. But now that you’ve shown up and arrangedmy life, who do you think you are?

Olivia exerted all her strength to close the door, but she could not match Leah’s strength. Gritting herteeth, she tried for a while, but the door remained unaffected.

With one hand pressing against the door, Leah raised her other hand and waved it in front of Olivia.“Look, I brought you a gift. I came here specifically to see you.”

“Hmph!” Olivia could not be moved by Leah’s small favors. Even if she brought gifts or even gold andjewels, Olivia would not be impressed.

In her heart, Leah had long been characterized as a selfish and self-serving person, so she had nopositive impression of her.

Leah sidestepped and directly walked into the villa’s entrance.

“Hey! You…” Olivia wanted to stop her, but in an instant, she felt a flash before her eyes as Leah forcedher way in.

Olivia furrowed her brows tightly. She had encountered shameless people before but had never seensomeone as shameless as this. She had made it clear that she did not welcome her, yet she still forcedher way in. Who does she think she is?

She could only walk over to the couch and sit down, exuding anger.

Thomas had just finished washing the dishes in the kitchen when he saw Olivia sulking on the couch.“Olivia, what’s wrong?”

She did not speak; instead, she raised her hand and pointed at Leah standing at the entrance, alongwith the two bodyguards who entered with her.

Thomas glanced at Leah and questioned, “Why are you here?”

He was still somewhat angry. Leah was a complete schemer, extremely hypocritical. She claimed to bedoing all this for Olivia’s good, for her rescue, but what was the reality? She was just using Olivia as abargaining chip for her interests. Who can’t see through it?

“My granddaughter is here, so naturally, I must come over. What’s the meaning of this? Do I need toreport to you? If I’m not mistaken, you’re just my granddaughter’s driver, right? Are you trying toreverse roles and treat this place as your villa? Take a look at yourself, you pathetic little man. Youcan’t afford such a luxurious villa even in several lifetimes!”

After saying that, she plopped herself down on the couch, behaving as if she owned the place.

“Who are you calling a pathetic little man?” Olivia immediately became indignant. This woman hadbarged into her home and was now berating her beloved man!

“Olivia, let me tell you, when looking for a man, you must keep your eyes open. How could someone asuseless as this pathetic little man ever be worthy of you? As an outstanding young woman like you, youmust find someone with capabilities and background; they must be among the best. Look at thisThomas. Forget about being among the best—he can’t even compare to a worm! He’s just a man whorelies on you for support. What a worthless person!”

That was the main purpose of Leah’s visit. She wanted to introduce Olivia to that talented individualand believed that Olivia would surely agree because the most primal admiration that a woman had for aman originated from idolization.

That genius was enough to make girls all over the world idolize him.

In contrast, Thomas? He was nothing more than a discharged soldier turned driver, an orphan with nostatus or background. How could he compare? He was not even qualified to carry someone else’sshoes!
