Chapter 341

Chapter 341 Hard to Pay Back the Favor

Colbert drove Alva back to the villa, and when they arrived at the door, Alva got out of the car and

looked at Colbert affectionately. "Colbert, thank you for driving me back. It's still early. Do you want to

come in and sit for a while?"

Although she had been engaged to Colbert, and he had sent her back many times, he rarely went into

the villa to sit for a while.

Alva felt unhappy but dared not express it.

"You're pregnant, rest early," Colbert said indifferently, "Goodnight."

Alva lightly bit her lip, finding it hard to believe, but could only nod. "Okay, goodnight, Colbert."

On the way back from the Steele Mansion, she didn't dare mention their marriage all the way, fearing

that Colbert would go back on his word.

Alva had reminded herself countless times that she had to endure it. Everything would be solved once

she married into the Steele family.

Colbert started the car and left, going straight back to Philomel Apartment.

When he returned home, Wendy and Eudora were sitting on the sofa watching television.

Seeing him walk in, Wendy greeted him with a knowing look. "Mr. Steele, you are back?"

"Yes."

Colbert remained as aloof as ever, sparing no words.

"Eudora, you can keep watching. I'm going to bed."

Wendy went straight to the bedroom, avoiding disturbing Eudora and Colbert's alone time.

Colbert unbuttoned his suit with his long fingers and casually put his coat on the back of the sofa.

Sitting on the sofa next to Eudora, he asked in a deep voice, "Why did you agree to Grandma's

request?"

Although Colbert did not understand why his grandma wanted Eudora to set up a wedding venue fornovelbin

him and Alva, Eudora could have refused but unexpectedly agreed.

Eudora sat cross-legged, holding a bag of chips in her hand. She took a piece and stuffed it into her

mouth. She glanced at him lazily and muttered, "Grandma has already asked. What reason do I have

to refuse?"

She shrugged and sighed. "If Grandma hadn't liked me, you wouldn't have barged into the fire to save

me. You wouldn't have gone abroad to save me or risked your life to save me in the deep forest. No

matter what, Grandma has done me a favor. I'll remember it. I won't refuse even if she asks me to

donate a kidney to her, let alone ask me to arrange a wedding for you."

It was hard to deal with the issue of the relationship.

Moreover, what Eudora owed Belinda was a life-saving favor, so Eudora had no reason to refuse it.

Colbert heard her words, and the scenes emerged in his mind like a movie on fast-forward, replaying

yesterday's events.

Colbert's sharp eyes gradually dimmed. He finally found out that in Eudora's heart, everything he had

done was because of his Grandma's orders, and he protected her also because his Grandma liked her.
