Chapter 301

Chapter 301 You Are So Shameless

Eudora upstairs had no idea about these matters. She lay in the living room for a while before headingnovelbin

to the bathroom to freshen up. Then, she went to the study, turned on the computer, opened a web

browser, and entered a mysterious website.

As she browsed through the information on the website, she remained cautious, aware that Colbert

could return at any moment.

Suddenly, the study door swung open, and Eudora looked up to see Colbert entering.

"Why are you back?"

She casually asked while discreetly closing the web page and quickly clearing the browsing history.

She opened a pre-opened novel webpage and pretended to be reading a novel.

Colbert was dressed in a black shirt paired with a dark-toned casual tie. His sleeves were rolled up to

the elbows, and he strode confidently toward her.

As he walked, he reached up and tugged at his tie, undoing the two buttons at the collar. His well-built

chest muscles were partially visible, complementing his incredibly handsome face. He exuded an air of

aloofness and nobility, akin to a perfect man from the world of anime and manga.

Although Eudora was not easily swayed by male charm, she couldn't help but be captivated by

Colbert's appearance.

"What are you looking at?"

Colbert approached and stood beside her, glancing at the computer screen. His eyes narrowed slightly,

and in the next moment, he lightly tapped her head. "How can a girl like you watch this kind of stuff?"

"What's wrong? Can't I read novels?"

Eudora frowned in annoyance and glared at Colbert. "I like reading these things. It's none of your

business!"

"Just like reading these things?"

Colbert repeated her words.

With a dissatisfied expression, Eudora looked up at him. "In a life filled with dissatisfaction, reading

novels allows me to experience the beauty found in fiction. Is there a problem with that?"

Life was already imperfect. What was wrong with escaping into the realm of fiction and experiencing

the beauty that reality lacked?

"Experiencing?"

A glimmer flickered in Colbert's narrow, sharp eyes as he raised his hand and pinched her chin, gently

turning her head to face the computer screen. He pointed at the screen with his finger. [Betty stared at

the massive object beneath him and exclaimed...]

The rest of this sentence was hard for him to utter, so he said to her, "How come I never realized how

shameless you can be?"
