Colbert sat on the couch, legs crossed, holding a magazine. He seemed engrossed but was really
paying attention to the ongoing chatter.
Upon hearing her words, Colbert nodded.

From Alva's perspective, Eudora, Colbert, and Belinda looked more like a family. She felt like an
outsider, unable to integrate.
"Grandma, it's quite cool outside today. Shall we go out for a bit of fresh air?" Eudora asked.

Belinda stood up, took Eudora's hand, and the two of them went out.
They completely ignored Alva.
Alva wanted to follow, but worried she might be overstepping, decided to stay and try to bond with
Colbert instead.
Watching them leave, Alva looked at Colbert with sad eyes, like a child who'd done something wrong.
"Colbert, am I not doing anything right? It seems like Grandma doesn't like me."

moment, let me get you some sauce."
